Tiger Woods (6 Viewers)

Tiger's cursing and spitting was what I liked most about him. He reminds of myself on the golf course. Now that he sucks, he's even more like me.

You're the one who brought up hissy fit, not me. Doesn't matter if it is directed at the gallery.

And do you really want to call it a hissy fit when the same guy tries to take a picture for a second time in two holes while Bubba is addressing the ball, and Bubba tells him directly? Really? That isn't a hissy fit. Bubba going ape #### after a bad shot and blaming the caddie? That is a hissy fit. Tiger cussing out after missing a two foot putt and blaming the green? That is a hissy fit.
This is a good point. I've never seen Tiger hit a bad shot and not blame something other than himself. There's always an excuse. Miss a putt? Stand there and put on a show about how you can see the break going the other way. Yes. Physics hates Tiger Woods.
I've heard him say "expletive, Tiger" lots of times.

Another reason to miss Tiger at the Master's: one of the few times you could witness a Tiger tee shot without some moron yelling "GET IN THE HOLE!"

Nice article although I hate agreeing with Skip Bayless. :oldunsure: He should have mentioned Tiger's widely suspected ped use also when listing all of the contributors to his health problems. But overall, good article.

Rooting for Gary Woodland here. His length off the tee gives him a shot. Birdied 3 of the par 5's yesterday. Hoping he can hang around the top 10 today so that it will be an interesting weekend.

In at 75-1. :)

Yeah ratings for Thursday and Friday were only down roughly 30% year over year. ESPN would probably pay for bionic body parts for Mr. Woods at this point if asked.

i'm a tiger fan. i fear that he'll have to completely redo his swing again if/after he recovers from this back surgery. there just aren't going to be enough majors held when he's both healthy and playing well.

While golf likely won't be as popular post-Tiger, it's not like it didn't exist before Tiger. The Masters and other majors have always been huge. And like Tiger stepped in for Jack, someone will replace Tiger in the next decade or so to dominate and draw people in.

...and Otis will be gone from golf threads.

Doesn't appear to be "Rors."

Tiger would have a 5 shot lead, if only.......
People would rather watch Tiger run away than having 9 guys within 3 strokes of lead starting Sunday? I don't get that.

In that group you have a guy who would be youngest ever, a 50 year old guy who smokes stogies while warming up on the driving range, a former winner, and a couple of guys who have been in contention a handful of times. Should be a lot of tension, drama, etc today.

He had waffles for breakfast, and he's got a salesman coming over at noon to show him hardwood flooring samples for the great room.

Further updates will be provided as events warrant.

Tiger Woods described his recovery from back surgery as a “very slow process” that offered him no timetable on when he can return for a summer filled with big championships.

Woods already missed the Masters, choosing to have microdiscectomy surgery March 31 to relieve pain from a pinched nerve.

In a wide-ranging blog on his website Monday, Woods said he is still sore from the incision and his only contact with golf clubs is a few putts and chips that do not require him to rotate his back. He said tests showed no arthritic changes, which he attributed to being in good shape and strong in his legs and abdomen.

Woods also said he has been texting with Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, who had “the exact same surgery” in December and couldn’t play the final game of the year against the Redskins. Woods and Romo were partners in the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am in February 2012.
uh oh

It doesn't look good for any majors this year. Maybe the PGA in August, but at the rate it's going, that would probably be too risky.

I'm winning tournaments but can't seem to do well in majors when it counts. Lemme call up my buddy Tony Romo see what he says.

He's done. He'll be competitive but he lost the fear factor. Looks like The Gold Bear might be out of the woods.

ignorant post of the highest proportions.
Wednesday is the 5 year anniversary of this 'ignorant post of the highest proportions'. 142 pages full of gems. A lot of contenders have come in and given Finless their best shot only to get KO'ed.
