would someone please explain why tillman isnt ranked higher than payne and why also tillman isnt a top 5 guy in the ranking any and every week hes healthy?

every time tillman plays he lights up the box score and sometimes to an insane degree. i understand payne is a safety and in a better position to run support but tillman still finds ways to out perform this guy.

Tillman is listed questionable this week. He didn't practice Wednesday, which was apparently not injury related and wasn't listed on the report Thursday before his questionable note after being limited today. That may have something to do with it, though I can't speak for Norton.It's also worth noting that many safeties have had good weeks against Tennessee, while only Marlin Jackson and Cedric Griffin have topped five solos against the Titans. To be fair, though, those two players are the best comps for Tillman on the list.I think it'll be closer than what John currently has projected, but a healthy Payne is probably a safer bet than a multiple dinged Tillman.

If Tillman don't play I am counting on Corey Graham to do really well...he makes the most of his chances.

I think you're getting too hung up on the projections. Make you own decision. If you think Tillman is the man then just start him. Who cares what this site or others have him projected at. I actually benched Tillman this week because of his injury in favor of someone else. Tillman had a decent game, was surprised he played. But I went with the safe play because I've been burned by Tillman more then once by starting him when he was supposed to play and then he doesn't and I get the donut.Personally I only use the projections and rankings to either confirm what I already am thinking or it makes me think twice. So if I plan to start Tillman but he's ranked rather low, then there must be a reason for it which makes me do some research on the situation. But by no means am I just plugging in guys based on a sites projections (no offense to Norton, he's the best in the business). Besides, projections are an art, not a science.

i completely realize they are more knowledgeable about IDP than i am, i ask for some word on the matter b/c i just thought maybe i was missing something in my approach.

as well, i have tillman this year so i am glowing with pride that he has been so productive
