timdraft #4: Movie Category Draft (1 Viewer)

I'm at gymnastics
Definitely a man comfortable in his own skin
its more like a sit here on these awful steel bleachers while they run around for an hour. It was ice skating last night and gymnastics today. Not sure how my kids activities got in the way of keeping track of timdraft but this is where we are I guess.
Very cool. Being there is important.

My little one (4 y.o.) is in ballet, Mandarin and piano, wants to start violin and ice skating this fall. Something has to go.

Oldest (14) used to be that way. Now he's just a gamer slug.

ballet is on Thursday and soccer on Saturdays. Piano lessons are already in the mix for next year. Can't wait for the gamer slug phase

23.14 Koyanisqaatsi - I have no idea what this movie is about

From the director: "It is up for the viewer to take for herself what Koyanisqaatsi means. For some people it's an environmental film, for some people it's an ode to technology, for some people it's a piece of sh-t, for other people it moves them deeply. It depends on who you ask" - Godfrey Reggio

I actually really like this movie, but have no idea what it is about.

Moving Kick Ass to Superhero movie

Best performance by child actor

Sure he didn't win an Oscar, but is there a more memorable performance by a child actor or a bigger child star? (There is one bigger, but that person hasn't been drafted)

My kids love this movie and have watched it probably 10 times.

I was with them for the latest viewing and laughed out loud numerous times.

21.21 - Macaulay Culkin - Home Alone

23.16 Poltergeist - scene that scared me as a kid. I'll pick a scene later
very surprised this is still here. If I had not take wonka, this was my next choice.
It is pg, but it is more of a horror movie than oyhers picked.
Yeah, that's why I kept passing, but couldn't pass any longerI'm thinking the clown under the bed scene. Haven't found it yet
This was my number 1 until the criteria was posted. I researched it and saw that it was rated R which I found weird. I seem to recall it was one of the first PG-13 films but I couldn't find any solid info in my limited research time. So kudos. Great movie with some scary ####.

That may seem insensitive after what has happened the last few months. I cherish and enjoy it all.
If I am following the context as I do my drveby drop-in, agreed. I've enjoyed every phase and aspect of parenting. The role constantly evolves, the challenges/frustrations never end, and the joy and rewards don't always match the effort or meet/exceed the expectations. Strangely, I love every part of it: the good, the bad, the maddenly casual indiffernce.Best gig ever, and 2nd isn't close.

You're probably going to get screwed simply because of the nature of these drafts, but I think this is a great, great pick.

Tim's not judging the category, I'll be fine.

Two of my nephews are with me tonight. Another one was here until 15 minutes ago, because his parents were at his brother's baseball game. I took this picture of the hellions earlier. Check out the eyes of the one in the middle. :o
