Time to bench Boldin (1 Viewer)

Moss is going to get LOTS attention now. The running game doesn't look that great yet. I think the last two weeks from Welker are actually on par with his every week numbers from here on out.

Boldin, not so much.

Until Bellicheat decides to run the ball 45 times for a few games. Or get Stallworth some looks. You never know with this team. But wow Moss looks insane. Did not see that coming.

You cant be serious, Bolden is a stud...patience. Wes Welker is a bice 3rd WR in PPR leagues
Boldin is a stud talent yes. He has poor QB play and a new run first offense. How anyone can watch NE play and not realize that Welker is a huge cog in a high-powered offense is beyond me. He will easily catch 80 balls this year for 1100 yards. TDs will likely be lower, in the 5-7 range. As far as I can tell those are WR2 numbers. I think Anquan's will be similar. I guess the "shark" move is to look at everything in a vaccuum without allowing for season to season contingencies.

Good thing you're not overreacting.

I love the shark pool. Sharks indeed.
we could require an i.q. test to post. :lmao:
In PPR he looks pretty safe. Never great, but safe.
Never great? Last year was the only season in his whole career he wasn't on a 100 catch pace (including his 8-game, 50 catch season when he was hurt). In PPR leagues that's gold.
Might want to have another look at your numbers.

Tough start for Boldin, to be sure, but he's still on pace for 64-840-8. Poor compared to previous years, but not disastrous. And that's just after two games.

welker is OK in a PPR league...too may options in NE for him to be a huge cog. Now randy moss i would call a huge cog welker is a nice #3 WR...1100 yds iseems to be a bit of a reach.

Bellicheat? how childish.. ;) videos or not, players have to go out and execute, Vinitieri still has to hit those 2 SB-winning fg's.

Bill Walsh and Seifert cheated with salary cap side-skirting in the 80's/90's...wondering what you'd call them..did the Raiders cheat in the 70s when Jack Tatum was using 15 gallons of Stick-em on his hands..? LT used coke for YEARS with NYG, I guess the Giants SB victories of 1986 and 1990 should be wiped out, too, right? I guess Denver's SB victories should be wiped out,.b/c Shanny employed a mean cutblock technique that is borderline illegal..

I won't even get in to what the Emmitt Smith's Cowboys might have been up to back in the day..we KNOW Irvin was a coke head, we know Nate Newton was a pothead, and wasn't Leon Lett suspended numerous times?! did they play stoned?

Sonny Jurgensen reportedly played drunk or very hungover at times..I'd imagine that was illegal, too..

Lyle Alzado did steroids, does that mean we should remove the Raiders from the SB trophy?

as for Welker, he looks like he's headed for an 80-85 catch season, with perhaps double-digit TDs..he's a bargain at any price..with teams focusing on Moss, Welker is often left alone on underneath routes.

:lmao:

Im not sure whats wrong with calling BB a cheat? He did cheat, and it happened in the last month. I don't get why some people want to sweep this under the rug so quickly? If you cheat and get caught, you should be punished and heckled for a long time.

Since the OP was so kind as to inform us of his franchise management decisions:

Week 3, I'm probably benching Boldin @BAL... playing Curry (v CLE) or Reggie Brown.

The depth on your bench is pretty useless in FF if you only use it to cover bye weeks. :goodposting:

Ok. Then what?

Boldin was playing like #### with Leinart IN

so, yes ....the guy who opened the thread was initially right

Since I am the OP, and I see this thread has been bumped, I will tell you that I played both Boldin AND Welker, but benched Santonio Holmes.

That worked out OK.

Usually people who start idiotic threads like this one either never come back, or come back and say :bag:

I was really hoping for the former.
