I should have run these numbers the same time I ran Housh's:Chad Johnson:CJ with Henry in lineup (13 games): 5.3 rec - 87.2 yds - 0.54 TDs (per game)CJ without Henry in lineup (3 games): 6.0 rec - 78.7 yds - 0.00 TDs (per game)PalmerTJ's average stats,With Henry in the lineup: / 6.3 rec. for 74.8 yds and 0.64 TDsWithout Henry in the lineup / 7 rec. for 86 yds and 0.67 TDsNot much of a difference, but slightly better numbers without Henry in the lineup for TJ.
Interesting. But what people really want to know, is where do you rank Evans?Word is that the 3rd receiver in Cincy is out for 8 games. If you can grab CJ or Housh now, you should probably go ahead and do it.Those two guys are going to have some great years in '07.I'M CALLING IT NOW!!!
It seems like the absence of Henry willhave minimal effect to the main cogs of the Cincinnati offense.I should have run these numbers the same time I ran Housh's:Chad Johnson:CJ with Henry in lineup (13 games): 5.3 rec - 87.2 yds - 0.54 TDs (per game)CJ without Henry in lineup (3 games): 6.0 rec - 78.7 yds - 0.00 TDs (per game)PalmerTJ's average stats,With Henry in the lineup: / 6.3 rec. for 74.8 yds and 0.64 TDsWithout Henry in the lineup / 7 rec. for 86 yds and 0.67 TDsNot much of a difference, but slightly better numbers without Henry in the lineup for TJ.almer with Henry in lineup (13 games): 253 pass yds - 1.9 TD passes - 1.0 Ints (per game)Palmer without Henry in lineup (3 games): 249 pass yds - 1.0 TD passes - 0.0 Ints (per game)
Yeah, I'd tend to agree, though it's pretty significant to see Palmer with 1 less TD pass per game without Henry (albeit, a pretty small sample for those three games).

3 games doesn't seem like a meaningful sample size, but it is an interesting result.....Rudi (3 games no Henry): 72.7 rush yds, 0.33 TD, 1.3 rec, 7.5 rec yds (per game)Rudi (13 games w/ Henry): 84.0 rush yds, 0.85 TD, 1.5 rec, 7.2 rec yds (per game)Maybe the most glaring number was points scored by the Bengals -- 13, 13, and 17 in the 3 games Henry didn't play, a 14.3 ppg avg vs 25.4 ppg in the 13 games he did play.

Within margin of error, ESPECIALLY for that small of a sample size. That difference has ZERO statistical significance. You can draw ZERO conclusions from that.TJ's average stats,With Henry in the lineup: / 6.3 rec. for 74.8 yds and 0.64 TDsWithout Henry in the lineup / 7 rec. for 86 yds and 0.67 TDsNot much of a difference, but slightly better numbers without Henry in the lineup for TJ.

so you're comfortable basing that judgment on a sample size of 3 games?Rudi (3 games no Henry): 72.7 rush yds, 0.33 TD, 1.3 rec, 7.5 rec yds (per game)Rudi (13 games w/ Henry): 84.0 rush yds, 0.85 TD, 1.5 rec, 7.2 rec yds (per game)Maybe the most glaring number was points scored by the Bengals -- 13, 13, and 17 in the 3 games Henry didn't play, a 14.3 ppg avg vs 25.4 ppg in the 13 games he did play.I was going to set the O/U on ppg scored by the Cinci O without Henry at 16. The offense simply isn't the same without him.
options would be:Tab Perry, Chatman, Brazell, HoltPerry would probably be the front runner but a good sleeper is Brazell (member of the olympic track team).i'm sure they will draft a WR mid - late rounds as well.Who will be Cinci's #3 wr while henry is out?
No, I'm comfortable basing that judgement on going to every home game in the last 2 years and seeing how flat the offense is without him.so you're comfortable basing that judgment on a sample size of 3 games?Rudi (3 games no Henry): 72.7 rush yds, 0.33 TD, 1.3 rec, 7.5 rec yds (per game)Rudi (13 games w/ Henry): 84.0 rush yds, 0.85 TD, 1.5 rec, 7.2 rec yds (per game)Maybe the most glaring number was points scored by the Bengals -- 13, 13, and 17 in the 3 games Henry didn't play, a 14.3 ppg avg vs 25.4 ppg in the 13 games he did play.I was going to set the O/U on ppg scored by the Cinci O without Henry at 16. Thx. What do you think changes with Henry out of the game? Do defenses attack the Bengals offense differently? Does the offensive game plan change? Just curious what the Bengals could do to offset this...No, I'm comfortable basing that judgement on going to every home game in the last 2 years and seeing how flat the offense is without him.so you're comfortable basing that judgment on a sample size of 3 games?Rudi (3 games no Henry): 72.7 rush yds, 0.33 TD, 1.3 rec, 7.5 rec yds (per game)Rudi (13 games w/ Henry): 84.0 rush yds, 0.85 TD, 1.5 rec, 7.2 rec yds (per game)Maybe the most glaring number was points scored by the Bengals -- 13, 13, and 17 in the 3 games Henry didn't play, a 14.3 ppg avg vs 25.4 ppg in the 13 games he did play.I was going to set the O/U on ppg scored by the Cinci O without Henry at 16. Can you please elaborate?,...thanksas a bengals homer, i'm advising all of you to stay away from Chad Johnson.you've been warned.
Without Henry, they double CJ constantly. Housh is more of a possession guy, and there is no other deep threat that has Henry's size, speed and knack for grabbing the ball out of the air. With the deep threat gone, defenses focus on stopping the run and short over-the-middle passes.Thx. What do you think changes with Henry out of the game? Cuz CJ's effing nutz?TDavi118 said:Can you please elaborate?,...thanksPeyton Marino said:as a bengals homer, i'm advising all of you to stay away from Chad Johnson.you've been warned.
the guy's inconsistent. he had a string of games last year where he went nuts and that accounted for most of his numbers. a lot of his games were 5 catch 70 yard type deals. i'm not saying he has a complete fall this year--he'll probably stay in the top ten and put up a good 1300 yard and 7-8 TDs. just upside wise, i don't think he has much. i've been watching TJ Housh and Chris Henry vs. CJ over the past 2 years and I think (especially when Henry comes back) they're going to start dipping into his numbers more and more. CJ is not as great a WR as people think he is IMO.TDavi118 said:Can you please elaborate?,...thanksPeyton Marino said:as a bengals homer, i'm advising all of you to stay away from Chad Johnson.you've been warned.
