Heading to Oslo from Iceland tomorrow. Any suggested nightlife/restaurants etc.??

TripAdvisor commentary is seriously dated.

Booked a hotel in Central Oslo on Karl Johan St. which is supposedly the epicenter for nightlife. We'll see how it goes.

I was there for a week in late October. They have a visitor's pass that gets you into a bunch of things. That might be worth a purchase. The old Akershus Fortress on the harbor was cool as well as the viking museum. Harbor cruises weren't open when I was there but seems like a good thing to do. Also they have an awesome park a short walk from the state house. I didn't go in the state house so I can't speak to that.

Expect sticker shock. It's crazy expensive there. Around twice as expensive for everything you are used to.
