Didn't expect that.HA! Derrick Henry.
I kept saying they made me fall in love with him before Murray trade, thought he was "out of the question" though
I'd guess just those twoCobb and Sankey are both gone now, barring injury. McCluster and Andrews? Maybe one more.
Very much mixed feelings here. I like Henry and would have loved this pick in a vacuum. But with Alexander available and Murray on the team, I can't get fully behind it.HA! Derrick Henry.

bump from 4/23, sorta saw that pick comingTalked with a legend
Among the Titans reps who met with Byard was defensive coordinator **** LeBeau, a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame as a player. LeBeau has coached in the league for more than 40 years and created the zone blitz defense. His best days were arguably with the Steelers, who Byard grew up rooting for.
"I grew up watching Troy Polamalu, Joey Porter and the Steelers," Byard said. "He told me I was one of the best interviews he's had."

Titans in pursuit
Byard said he worked out for Titans coach Mike Mularkey, general manager Jon Robinson and others on Thursday. The Titans had several scouts at Byard's pro day and, according to NFL.com's Gil Brandt, is one of the top teams in pursuit.

very fair criticism.Drafted a bunch of backups.
Tennessee Titans
Remaining picks: Round 2 (33), Round 2 (43), Round 2 (45), Round 3 (64), Round 3 (76), Round 5 (140), Round 6 (193), Round 7 (222)
The most obvious and intriguing team when it comes to Byard. The Titans do need a safety despite signing Rashad Johnson in free agency. Byard has worked out and talked with the Titans recently. His old high school teammate is a scouting assistant and the Titans are the closest NFL franchise. They also have the most flexibility with the amount of picks.

Round 1, Pick 8 (8) (From Browns through Eagles through Dolphins)
Jack Conklin

Pick Analysis: "I think Taylor Lewan's job is safe for now. Because with this kid, I think Lewan stays on the left side and Conklin plays right tackle, and now you have bookend tackles for Marcus Mariota." -- Mike Mayock
Round 2, Pick 2 (33)
Kevin Dodd

Clemson
6.2
Pick Analysis: "He's a little big of a one-year wonder at Clemson. He didn't play much before this season. He's a long athlete, not real twitchy, but can set an edge. He will be difference maker over time in the pass game." -- Mike Mayock
Round 2, Pick 12 (43) (From Eagles through Rams)
Austin Johnson

5.9
Pick Analysis: "He's a natural fit for a 3-4 base defense team, which is what Tennessee is. He has power and movement skills. When his pad level is low, he is an explosive football player. This is a big, powerful dude." -- Mike Mayock
Round 2, Pick 14 (45) (From Rams)
Derrick Henry

Pick Analysis: "Henry has one year of amazing production. If you draft him, you have to philosophically commit to who this kid is. Titans GM Jon Robinson is trying to build a big, physical team in that division." -- Mike Mayock

See the quotes from the G Tretola?
Angry he didn't win the heisman(as a Guard) and Mariota and Henry did....cracks me up
No Titans on UDFA list. 49ers neither.

I haven't read a bad thing about Conklin besides he might not have quick enough feet to play LT.Conklin he thought could be like Scherf. A T, probably a good T, but move him to G and he could be an all pro.
My initial reaction was I don't like that they drafted another G/T like Poutasi and that they traded up for him. I'm changing. I'm never going to like the trade and think it was too expensive to move up but there's some (almost) certainty he'll be a good player.
Cosell said something I've heard a lot the last few years. How tackles in spread offenses are such an uncertainty when they enter the NFL. I think this could lead to a lot of the G/T confusion
It's not as if he has played well and consistently enough to deserve it. If that changes this year, he'll make some money next year, from the Titans or elsewhere.Titans did not pickup Warmack's 5th year
This guy was dead on accuratehere
