Titans Quarterback Steve McNair said he will meet with his agent Bus Cook in the coming days to discuss his next move.
''They talk about that,'' McNair said. ''Me personally, (I) don't get into negotiations, don't get into the process of where I'm going to go and where I'm not. I let Bus handle that. I'm laidback and just waiting on Bus to call me and tell me what's my next step.''
Just one day after an arbitrator ruled that the Titans had violated his contract by barring him from Baptist Sports Park, McNair spoke Thursday afternoon during a break in his sixth annual football camp at Goodpasture High School. McNair told the media he would not speak about Wednesday's decision or the ongoing uncertainty regarding his contract.''
''In due time, I will,'' McNair said. ''As of today, it's all about trying to emphasize my football camp, giving these kids the respect that they came to learn, to enhance their abilities.''
McNair said he did not even plan to talk with the campers about where he might be playing in 2006. McNair, who received praise three years ago after talking openly with the campers about his DUI arrest, said this time he plans to talk to the young people about the importance of dealing with adversity in life.
''Anytime you go through some drama, it's good to do something that you want to do and you love doing, to get your mind off it,'' McNair said. ''Today's a great day for me just to relax, enjoy these kids that are here ... and just do the things Steve wants to do.''
Despite not being able to workout at Baptist Sports Park, McNair said he has remained in shape.
''I workout everyday,'' McNair said. ''I've been in this game a long time and I know that as you get older it takes a lot more to stay in shape and to play 16 games in the National Football League.''
''My mindset is very intense. I'm doing everything I can, even more.''
