Titans Stadium renamed "LP Field" (1 Viewer)

Formerly Adelphia Coliseum. Then changed simply to "The Coliseum", the Titans home has been renamed "LP Field"

I assume that's due to a corproate sponsorship, although I've never heard of "LP".

Maybe it stands for "Last Place"!

I think it is great and I really like the name.

LP, is the marketing moniker for Louisiana-Pacific Corporation. If memory serves, they are the #2 largest manufacturer of OSB (high tech plywood) and most all materials for single family residential construction.

They relocated to Nashville 3 years ago for the corporate HQ.

I also believe that I heard that they will be providing ALL the materials for Habitat for Humanity and will be sponsoring a HfH house construction in EACH of the 10 away game cities the week prior to the game. I think this is a super idea.

Good for both sides.

ehh....I understand the naming rights for staduims......But I always enjoyed the Coliseum.

When I first saw "LP Field" I thought of Hank Hill as the spokesman............
