TJ Housh (1 Viewer)

What does the pool think of this guy going fwd? He has a cake schedule starting with Det this weekend....at some point he will get more than 3 catches 30 yards right?

The passing game has been inconsistent with such a horrible line. I think his production will increase as the schedule looks a lot better moving forward.

He should have some good games when Hasselback and the offense are clicking, but Burleson is playing at a pretty solid level right now as well. That alone may keep Housh's targets down from what we're used to seeing in the past.

I bet he wishes he wasnt greedy and had signed with Minnesota...smart move TJ, enjoy 4-12...at least you got a few more bucks in your wallet...

He's still an OK WR3, but will put up some real stinkers like last week when Seattle plays teams who can get after Hasselbeck.

Burleson is getting more looks & is more valuable in FF.

Blessing in disguise for Minny though, Rice wouldn't have had the breakout season he's having if the Vikes had Berrian, Housh and Harvin ahead of him.

He's struggled, but it's worth noting he has 59 targets on the year. Having watched the games, he's also been missed a few times on routes that would have been scores. His numbers make it look worse than it appears. It's a bit of concern that he isn't doing much after the catch, but I think that's the routes, not the player.

I've been trying to trade him for about a month now, I couldn't even get a TE for him this week (needed a replacement for Daniels). He's so far from my starting lineup that he's next on the chopping block if I need to fill a roster spot. He may have a good game or 2 left in him this season, but I doubt I'll reap any benefits from them because I'm too afraid to start him.

And even more of a blessing, because if they sign him, they don't have the cap room to sign Favre.

TJ Housh, Going forward will be going backward.

ETA; by the way he acted like TJ Doush this past weekend.

Is anyone playing him this week? I keep getting burned by him, but against Detroit might be a decent option.
I am starting him (over Bowe who hasn't exactly been lighting it up either). If he can't get it done v Detroit then I will have lost all hope. Burleson has been the man there and I don't think the Seattle passing game is proficient enough to have two WR's perform at a high level - just have to hope TJ has a few games where he gets more opportunities than Burleson and that you are able to start him those games.

Just thought I'd post the stats for the year so far...

Burleson --- 38 receptions for 487 yards with 3 TDs

Housh --- 35 receptions for 383 yards with 2 TDs

The part about Seattle's passing game that bothers me is that of the 5 combined TDs listed above for both players...4 of them came in one game vs JAX...both of Housh's TDs came in that game and 2 of Burleson's.

I have watched several of the Seattle games this season and both WRs have been missed when they were open. Plus we can't discount the fact that Hasselbeck was out with an injury for a while...and Seneca Wallace isn't as great of a passer as Hasselbeck in my opinion.

It's been a bad start for Housh...but I think he can turn it around. I'm not starting him this week because I have Fitz, Wayne, and VJAX ahead of him on my WR depth chart...but I think he has a very good chance of posting some great stats vs Detroit..but I am taking a "wait and see" approach with this game. His schedule does set up nicely from here on out..so I hope they get it together.

Also, he probably didn't know Farve would be throwing to him.

Can you unpack this for those of us not in the know? TIA
"Wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh has not been hesitant in expressing his frustration with not getting the ball more, even though Mora said he’s the sixth-most targeted receiver in the NFL.Houshmandzadeh and quarterback Matt Hasselbeck were caught on TV on Sunday having an animated discussion after they failed to connect on a potential TD pass in the opening quarter against Dallas.

After the play, Houshmandzadeh was demonstrative, showing Hasselbeck he wanted the ball thrown higher."

This excerpt from an article kid of down plays it but he did his best TO impression on the sidelines.
