TNF - Buffalo / Cleveland (1 Viewer)

When we first saw this game on the schedule, it looked like a bad game for prime time. Now, it looks like it could be quite entertaining. It would be more compelling if Spiller were performing, but I'm looking forward to it. Granted, both teams are 2-2, but...

Brian Hoyer and EJ Manuel could have bright futures. Seeing the rookie play against a pretty good Cleveland defense could give some indication of his near term future potential. Buffalo's D is below average against the pass but their game against Flacco was highly entertaining. Can Hoyer do better? (probably)

Will the Browns stop Fred Jackson? (probably) Can Cleveland run?

I thought I might not bother watching this game before, but now I'm looking forward to seeing two teams I think are on the rise.

thoughts?

I've heard quite a few "maybe not as bad as you think" & "up & coming teams" comments about this game.

I don't know if these teams are on the rise or not because I don't know how good the QBs are. I do think both non-QB rosters when healthy (which the Bills aren't now) are on par with most playoff teams. I guess that means they're either a lot closer or farther from competing than most think, depending on how you look at it.

I'm sorta amazed at how QB can be the most glamorous, talked about & most widely acknowledged important position in sports...and yet somehow still be underrated, at least by the diehards.

I just hope to God EJ becomes a franchise guy. The schedule for him isn't too friendly - unless the Saints D is a mirage he doesn't play a bad defense until December, WTF.

The Browns should win this one because they're healthier and home.

I love games like this; two team with hopes still in the mix.

Hoyer/Manuel

Gordon, Cameron / Stevie, Woods

Dinged up Spiller & FJax / Oggy, McGahee, Rainey all struggling to se who if any will get a TD.

Good young defenses with guys like Alonzo and Mingo.

Should be awesome.

Should be a good game, and Hoyer is a sneaky FF start this week vs a ravaged Bills secondary. These guys gave up 300 yards to Geno Smith. Hoyer will go 250 and 2-3 TDs.

What a shock, Byrd and his strained uterus is out again this week. Wouldn't want to hurt his resume.

I picked up Hoyer to play for RG3 while on bye. I had bradford in and at the last minute pulled the trigger... Hoyer could have 300 and 2 tds.......

Whew. Almost started Hoyer over Romo, but figured Dallas would be throwing every play after about 5 minutes vs. Denver. Hope Hoyer's OK, though. Glad to see a kid making good on a chance, and he's certainly an improvement over Wee-done.
