**TNF on Prime - Seahawks at Bears**(+4, 42.5) 8:15 (1 Viewer)

Could be a decent close game
Hoping for one after yesterdays less than competative games
I'll say the home team keeps it close
But visitors do just enough to grab a win...

Seahawks- 27
Bears- 23

I am looking forward to a possible close contest tonight. I think it could go down to late FG.

Seahawks: 23
Bears: 20

I think the Bears are just playing out the string. Seattle is playing for their playoff lives, I think Seattle wins pretty easily.

I think the Bears offense does little to nothing, until maybe some garbage time. I wouldn't be excited to start any Bears this week, though wouldn't be opposed to Caleb if desperate. Maybe Allen/Moore as a WR3. But an egg is very possible from all of them. Bears currently pick 9th, but that could move up quite a bit as a couple teams below them have to win as they play each other.

For Seattle, I think the Bears do an ok job against a banged up Charbonnet. Like, he's still startable, but I think the 100+ yard 2 TD game isn't happening even in a good matchup. He's more of a high-end RB2 to me. I think Geno has a really nice game. Chicago has a poor pass rush, so Geno should have as much time to pass as he's had in just about any game this season. I think JSN gets his and is a solid WR2 as he's been for a while now, but I think this is a nice DK Metcalf week, as he'll have time to get deep before Geno needs to throw. Not saying I'd start DK over JSN per se, butDK could get matched up with Tyrique Stevenson quite a bit, as Jaylon Johnson hasn't really traveled, and that will result in some big plays.

Seahawks-31
Bears-10

Again, another apology in advance for another Bears prime time stinker. At least the Arky St- Bowling Green bowl game is on at 9pm, so there are options.

My card for tonight:

Give me the Seahawks -4 for my house.

Caleb Williams OVER 215.5 passing yards as they will be playing catch up.

JSN Anytime TD ... but mainly because I'm playing him in a title game so don't follow that lead. LOL

Don’t you know it. I’ll piggyback that.

I think Jarran Reed and Kenny McIntosh have big nights because I had the chance and didn’t grab them off waivers when I could have in my own finals. Now I’ve got to hope that either Kendre Miller draws a start with Kamara maybe hurt or that Tyrone Tracy makes a miraculous recovery from an ankle injury and starts Sunday. If not, I’m going with Austin Hooper in a TE/RB flex position, and I don’t want to have to do that. Could have run McIntosh out there for a potential six or seven, if you ask me.

And if you need a possible six or seven, McIntosh’s past two games with either Walker or Charbs out of the lineup have resulted in that amount of points.

That’s my contribution to the group.

Oh yeah, Chicago has given up the most sacks in the NFL this year. Sixty-three of them. I don’t know the shape of their line back then or now, but it would have behooved one to pick up a DT that has a shot at a sack, don’t you think?

In their 105 year history, the Bears have had 28 losing streaks of 5 or more games.
  • 12 of those 28 streaks were in this century
  • 8 since 2011
  • 4 in the current decade (5 seasons)
The current losing streak of 9 games is the second longest in franchise history. In 2022-23 they lost 14 in a row.

Lost in that is Caleb has been playing better the last 6 weeks. He is still taking too many sacks - throwaways are not currently part of his repertoire - but it looks like Chicago may have finally hit on a QB.

Weeks 11–16::

22 sacks is no bueno, as is 3 lost fumbles. But he is great off script.

(I don’t have the no interceptions streak in front of me but it’s ridiculous, like 100 passes longer than the next best rookie streak)

Just need to pair him with a good HC & system. I’m not sure what to make of what this offense is trying to be. They have topped 20 points once since the week 7 bye and have struggled to be consistent. The OL has been suboptimal but they have talent on both sides of the ball.

Charbonnet 50 yds and a catch thus far
Likely to see a few more touches on the next drive beofre the end of the 2nd Half

-Good news is Seattle is only up 3-0 right now, must win to have any chance at a Playoff spot or a showdown next week with the LA Rams
