*** TNF on Prime Video - Bills at Dolphins *** (-2.5, 48.5) 8:15 (1 Viewer)

This past weekend vs Jacksonville, watched every snap and Achane and Mostert were the main RB in the 1st Half
Mostert was held to like 6 carries 9 yds, Achane didn't really make a lot of yards on the ground, did his damage with receiving yards

Wilson comes in more as the RB3/Special Teams which he is apart of, he was 5/21 on the ground from what I saw in relief of Mostert
Raheem must have gotten dinged up and will be OUT on Thursday Night

Achane will be the No 1 RB, nothing changes and there is no valid report that he has a high ankle sprain, not sure where those reports are coming from but if it's not Andy Slater then I wouldn't give it too much credit. Slater for those who don't know is the media person down here in Miami who released the Cop-Cam for Tyreek Hill, this guy is well connected and we would know if Achane had suffered an injury that might keep him out a month, nothing like that has been reported from any recognized source

RB1- Achane
RB2- Wilson taking over a Mostert role but unless Miami wins the game handily, no Miami Rb is likely to have more than 8-10 carries
Miami's strength right now is throwing the ball to Hill, Waddle and Achane

Any other narrative is mostly day dreaming or spinning a new narrative that is not factually based right now
And FTR, MoP is a big Wright fan and feels at some point he will see action this season
But for TNF, he would be at best the RB3 in this mix and not likely to touch the ball vs Buffalo at home
Perhaps the biggest game of the season for Miami when the Division is decided end of year

-Buffalo is a tough match up for the Miami running game but after that they have a 5-game span where Miami will be the favorite in every game.
They were favorites last week vs Jax, again this week vs Buffalo which is mildly strange since Buffalo has won 11 of the last 12 meetings with Miami

You might be able to get a decent price on the Miami RB you want after this game. Mostert will be dirt cheap if you want him
The Phins traded a 5th for Wilson during McDaniel 1st season as HC, between SF and Miami he scratched out 1,000+ total yds and about 6 TD but I want to stress if you break it down on a game by game basis, you're gonna die a slow death if you are wheeling him out there for any period of time. When Mostert returns, it's likely Wilson back to RB3 and the bench/special teams

Miami has yet to line up with Wright in the back field, Waddle and Achane split wide out, Hill in the slot...but it's coming one of these weeks, I pray. This would be my absolute favorite personnel to put out there at any one time for Miami and I think they would drive defenses nuts with this.

Two supposed beasts in The AFC East on a short work week in the heat of South Florida, yea I know the game's at night.
You ever been on South Beach at night. It's HOT baby!
Josh Allen is 10-2 in his career against The Dolphins in the regular season.
So whether it's a steamy day/night down south or a freeze your butt off day up north Josh has owned The Fins.
Bills already have injury concerns on defense but they got their act together in the second half and beat Arizona at home last week.
Dolphins weren't doing much against The Jags at home last week but then The Jags went total Jagsonville and the Fins prevailed.
I expect Tyreek Hill's better half will drive him to the game or she will insist he Uber it.
Mostert out,Achane "iffy".
If I bet this one I have to play the percentage here with Allen's record,so...

The Buffalo Bills- 34
The Miami Dolphins- 30

Bills 27
Dolphins 20

Josh Allen owns us…..and I am quite confident McDaniel will be out coached.

OL Rankings on PFF, I was shocked since Jax had sacks and Miami's run game was pretty anemic

Armstead 3rd of 67
Jackson 9th of 67

Eichenberg 7th of 67, that was a big surprise
Brewer 7th of 32
Robert Jones 56th of 67

4 out of the 5 ranked pretty high this week, bookend Tackle spots right now, that allows Tua to lead the league in completions over 20 yds, he had 4 of them on Sunday

Bills own the dolphins
My first thoughts about Buffalo is they are always 2nd and 5, 3rd and 2 and our defense can never get off the field
They convert 3rd downs against us and keep drives going, the games get away from Miami
McDaniel won their first meeting 21-19, lost 32-29 and 34-31 in the Playoffs in 2022
They were better than us but I feel the teams are a lot closer in personnel with Allen being the big difference.
We watched Brady own us for 2 decades, now it's the Josh Allen era, hoping for a different outcome tomorrow night but I'm a realist
Still think it's one of Miami's best chances to beat them in a while.
Short, week but Miami hasn't had to leave Hard Rock yet, they have the weapons, time to get out of preseason mode, maybe the offense will look sharper in this one.
Also think the Miami secondary will have less trouble with this group than Brian Thomas last week. Buffalo don't have one of those.

Let's hear what Jon Gruden thinks

Buffalo at Miami (-2.5, 49) Vegas says this is high scoring but I don’t see it quite that way. Typically the TNF games tend to be lower scoring and I could see something like 21-17 rather easily, these 2 teams played to like 21-14 in the last game of the season.

Follow the Targets
Hill 12, Waddle 5, Achane 7 and that’s about the extent of it right now.
When you add in Achane and his availability tonight, even if he can play and has a sore ankle which he likely will, Miami would be best served throwing him the ball and advising him to get out of bounds or avoid too much contact just for tonight because they need his receiving abilities if they are going to beat Buffalo.

I am anticipating Wright being active tonight but not used except in a real emergency or pinch, perhaps if Miami had a big lead which isn’t likely but there aren’t too many situations where Wright would be seeing a lot of action tonight. That leaves Jeff Wilson as the wildcard. MoP doesn’t think any of these RBs will see anything above 8-10 carries, most of Miami’s attack tonight will be thru Tua and the air.

Tua Tags was 7th/8th last week overall for QBs, not bad for a double digit grab and QB15 off the board, he’s doing pretty well already and has a soft schedule on the horizon. Tua is going to have to produce a minimum of 250 yds thru the air if Miami is going to have any chance. The Nickleback for Buffalo who is very good, Taron Johnson is OUT. Look for Tua and McDaniel to go to work out of the slot tonight where I expect Tyreek Hill to make a few appearances and work that middle of the field trying to break a long one racing towards and up the sidelines, expect the same with Waddle who needs to avoid contact. I would have Achane running up the sidelines deep all night long and try at least a couple longer throws for him, you know the bubble screens and behind the LOS tosses happen frequently, that’s another way they will involve Achane

You talk about spreading the ball around, Buffalo had 5 WRs split up about 14 targets, Keon Coleman did garner the most with 5 but then guys like Curtis Samuel got just 2. I would not cut Samuel just yet although in many of my redraft leagues I watched him released on to waivers this week. Keon Coleman has been a hot topic, don't think he will have a ton of success tonight vs the Miami secondary. I like Samuel as a sleeper tonight or Shakie in the slot, just my opinion

Dalton Kincaid was a huge disappointment Week 1, only a couple targets, maybe he gets more involved tonight but Knox doesn’t seem to be going away in this offense yet. James Cook nabbed 3/32 to add with about 70 yds on the ground and only a 3.5 ypc which will wear thin after a while. Still combined 100 yds, 3 catches but loses out on 2 rush TDs to Josh Allen

Allen ended up with 4 TDs last week and the No 2 overall QB behind Baker Mayfield, yep.He is a Miami killer and can’t imagine anyone is going to not start him tonight. He is dealing with a lef hand injury, we’ll see if that has any impact on this game at all.

:ROFLMAO:
Doesn't he have 5 "better halves"
We're just waiting for one Sunday when Hill is served with legal paperwork in the huddle of a live football game
It's coming one of these days. I saw Jason Sudekis serve Olivia Wilde in the middle of a paid speaking engagement, anything is possible

I'll be grilling some salmon tonight that my son caught out of Lake Michigan.

Some cold beers on a beautiful 80 degree day in northern Wisconsin. Will be watching outside in the large shop watching the deer stroll up the front meadow later. Maybe a few games of pickleball at halftime in the indoor shop court.

Heaven. :suds:

Hope that's on some cedar planks. Either way... :suds:

It's hot inside the stadium. Local sports newscasters are sweating, no breeze either. Currently 89 degrees, 80% humidity, 99 heat index. At game time, it's supposed to cool down to about a 94 heat index. Small advantage Miami.

Both Miami and Buffalo started out slow last week, but their defenses came on strong in the 2nd half. Miami without Wilkins or Chubb, and with a new d-coordinator. I'm not sold on Poyer, but the other new guys, Fuller, Calais, UDFA Storm Duck, and coach Weaver did well. Maybe Trevor Lawrence isn't that good, or the scheme isn't a fit, or maybe Weaver is a good coach. This week vs Josh Allen will shed some light on how good the defense is.

Our offense couldn't run the ball most of the game, despite very good pff grades for every lineman (Liam too!), except LG Robert Jones. I think JAX overplayed the run, which opened up opportunities in the passing game. Smythe had 2 drops and Tua overthrow Hill in the 1st half for what would've been a TD. In the 2nd half, Tua was cooking ... 4 big-time throws, the most of any QB week1. And the most passing yards of any QB, credit to Hill and Achane and Waddle for YAC, and Tua for hitting them in stride.

Prediction: BUF 31, MIA 24. I'm betting on Allen and the Bills until proven otherwise.

I was looking for the local feed thinking CBS out of West Palm Beach but the only place where I can watch is thru Prime
No problem because we do have it but Miami-Ft Laud and the Palm Beaches is usually what we consider Dolphin territory and South Florida, guess not
Kind of shocked that they aren't broadcasting out a little further tonight

Dear Dalton Kincaid,

I really invested in u this year. I feel your gonna have a monster year. Please start the onslaught of production tonight. Mahalo.

Sincerely,

The wife is in England. Just went out for great Chinese and I have a chocolate cake with my name on it. I’m looking forward to the game. It doesn’t get better than that.

ESPN betting guy saying Tyreek has never had a 100 yard game against BUF and Tua averages 240 yards passing. He's betting the under.

Taking an after dinner walk with my lovely wife…..then will settle in on the couch.

I predicted Bills…..I want to be wrong.

See you dudes game time.
