*** TNF on Prime Video - Broncos at Saints *** (+3, 37) 8:15 Kickoff (1 Viewer)

Devaughn Vele - 26 yr old rookie who went on an LDS mission after high school for 2 years and then came back and enrolled at Utah
6-4/210 and caught 4/78 last week
7th Rd picik

Might be a flash in the pan or he might be a new weapon for the Broncos
Don't forget they also have Troy Franklin at WR they drafted 102nd overall in the 4th Rd this year, he scored a TD last week

Looks like Denver is slowly getting their passing game going
Sutton has been very steady of late, not a high ceiling but double digits 3 of the last 4 weeks

Yes. Since no one wants to talk Bo Nix with me in the Bo Nix thread :sad trombone:. Perhaps we can see some discussion in here today.

“The 262.2 yards per game the Saints are allowing through the air makes them the NFL’s 29th-ranked pass defense.“

What does Nix have in store for us tonight.

Sincerely signed,

Nervous Superflex Bo Nix owner thinking about rolling the dice tonight.

What's your thoughts? I didn't think much of him even as they were winning but like many rookie QBs, he's learning on the fly
He has a good mentor/teacher in Payton but I've never seen Payton do well with a rookie QB so this is uncharted waters for both of them to see how far they can go Year 1

If you've been playing the drinking game where you do a shot when Sean Payton says the name Audric Estime, my condolences to your liver.

I honestly have no idea. What I do know is that he has been outscoring my other two QB's these last two weeks :sad trombone again:, and that his fantasy stats seem to be picking up some steam and a higher floor as the weeks go on. So I'm hopeful there's a safe floor and some upside tonight if I choose to start him.

He's the first Bronco I've owned across both leagues all season, so I really don't have much read on him other than what I've been researching since Monday.

I don't have the facts in front of me, but I did read that he had like 40 yards passing going into the second half last week. So that would not be very comforting at all, but he ended up scoring 22.49 in my league by the end of the day which is very respectable all things considered.

Rushing upside seems to be there at times.

I'd have to find the link, but in my research I was also reading that Peyton wants to open up the playbook/offense a little bit more as well, so maybe there's some more leash tonight in a game where the Saints are beat up and they think they can apply some pressure.

All in all, I was really hoping someone in the Sharkpool had more insight on the matter, as I'm a new owner of a shiny new toy... and I don't want that to be my reason to start him. Granted my other options of Herbert and Stafford are not much better.

broncos should win easily which prob means a close game

The Saints are demoralized right now. Everyone knows Carr, Olave, and Shaheed are out. Not everyone knows that the Saints are down to their three-deeps at both guards and their fourth center of the season (Connor McGovern off the Jets' practice squad).

Kubiak is going to have to come up with something to help Spencer Rattler and that MASH-unit interior O-line deal with every-down blitzing or else it's going to be a VERY long night for New Orleans.

One time Sunday against the Bucs, mid-3rd-quarter or so ... Kubiak made a nice play call for Rattler to loft a nice little screen over the blitz to Kamara. Rattler's pass was rushed and ended up nowhere near Kamara. Nothing similar was attempted the rest of the game.

I'm wondering if this is the game we see Jamaal and Miller a bit more to help with the running game, or to keep Kamara alive!

oh i agree im putting big confidence points on denver but lets not act like denver is some great team or anything

After Weeks 1 and 2 many in the media were propping them up as a Playoff contender scoring 44 and 47, but injuries have decimated them as you say
And things won't be getting a lot better so 2-4 becomes possibly 2-6 before Carr can get back out there and a few more weeks after and I imagine Dennis Allen will be fired

Teams right are trying to figure out which Head Coach they can convince to be their next. Sure, hot shot OC/DC names will be tossed around in Dec/Jan but right now there are people who are in media positions that could potentially be the next Head Coach for the Saints. It's strange how quickly things change, the Dolphins had such high hopes this year and watched it all get flushed on the ongoing concussions of Tua.

I think the Saints need an almost complete strip down and rebuild with an emphasis on trying to find their next "Franchise" QB, we all know Carr is not the guy
And BTW, Carr can actually make a decent QB for a talent loaded team where he can mostly game manage and throw a deep one every once in a while but he needs a lot fo help around him

But tonight, it's the Spencer Rattler Show

What are y'all doing for DFS tonight? Can we discuss that here?
I couldn't have less confidence in the WRs. The TEs and QBs are shaky too.

Kamara and two defenses then who?

Sean Payton Revenge Game.
What kind of a reception will he get from the fans?
Broncos seem to be building while Saints seem to be crumbling.
Bo versus Spencer.
Spread has moved towards The Broncos.
Over/under says 20-17 Denver.
I'll go with that and say a defensive touchdown either way decides it.
So 27-17 Denver or 24-20 New Orleans.
Short week to prepare, team that runs the ball the best will control the game.
I'll say that might be Denver...

Broncos- 27
Saints- 17

Sutton has been reliable for double digits 3 of the last 4 weeks
I don't trust any of the Denver Running Backs, even when Williams has a good game it feels like a low spot on your starting roster
Nix is getting better, Surtain is OUT tonight for the Broncos I heard
None of the Saints WRs feel like good option but it's likely 1 of them does raise their hand tonight

I managed to pick up Bub Means in quite a few places last night. Losing Shaheed did hurt me a bit. Not sure I will 1:1 replace him with Bub but I need to start making those calls soon. I do expect him and Rattler to be locked though. Rattler looked good to me last week and that was Tampa this is Denver. Still in the Superdome and if I'm not mistaken Bub and Rattler would have gotten pretty much >90% of reps together this rookie offseason and should be ready to ball. I don't think it's such a crazy play to plug him in. I'd put the over/under at +/-8.5 targets.

6 for 84 and flip a coin for a TD.

Even with Lattimore on him?

I'm thinking he, Tipton, and Vele

Nix reply-
Better but (insert formula for QB points in FF) good enough for DFS?

Good point

Kamara still a must start given NO OL issues and backups at QB and WR? Haven't watched DEN play yet this season. Are they able to stop the run? I'm assuming DEN would load the box and dare Rattler to throw the ball while stopping Kamara. But I have no idea really, just guessing.

Last 3 weeks the Saints are giving up the 6th most FF points to Wide Receivers, I did a little research

Kamara might only get 40 yards rushing
But he could also catch 10 passes.

Allen would love for this to be a 12-9 game, but fingers crossed they'll unleash Rattler and Kubiak and let the kid air it out a little.

Pretty much bailing on this game, still think a couple WRs are going to raise their hands tonight but not a lot to hang your hats on
Mrs and I are going for a rare work night out on the town, vinyl record party and she's actually going to be spinning
Turning it on from the beginning when we get home

Good Luck to all of you

Denver 20...New Orleans 17
Seems like Denver should blow them out and cover but Vegas always knows

Darn it I have zero starting fantasy players going in this game and only one total. Hopefully it’s an entertaining game. One for the ages.

Sean Payton Revenge Game.
What kind of a reception will he get from the fans?
I would hope it would be a lengthy standing ovation.

He gave us a Saints Super Bowl in our lifetimes, and hopefully the years without him has made Saints fans a little sentimental for the good old days.

I hope he farts and it’s a shart. I’m still bitter over that onside kick to start the second half of the Super Bowl.

Anyone have any idea why the public is on the Saints?

Who cares; I'm not. I'll take Denver -3 and under 37

My prop parlay lock of the year is Torrance Small AND Andre Hastings over 0.5 receptions

Sean Payton Revenge Game.
What exactly makes this a Payton revenge game? Payton wasn't fired or forced out. He left salary cap hell. If anything, this is a Saints revenge game.
Ya, revenge is definitely the wrong word and gets used far too often when a player/coach didn't even leave on bad terms.

I do think there is a little extra motivation to "beat your old team" though, especially with all the talk/pressure surrounding the game.
