**TNF on Prime Video - Steelers at Browns** (+3,5, 37) 8:15 (1 Viewer)

Definitely will be having some alternative programming on stand by
Not a huge reason to watch and don't have many players involved outside of Boswell-Kicker

Just heard an unbelievable stat (Mike Lombardi on McAfee). Tonight, will be the first time - college or pro - that Jameis Winston has played in with a <40 F air temps. Plus snow... never played in it (obviously if the other is accurate).

First the small hands... now the cold small hands... give me PIT over CLE 20 - 13

This strikes me as one of those games the Steelers dominate, but settle for FGs, and then the Browns get a garbage time TD to make it look like it was closer than it was.

If they give him the chances, Pickens should have a nice game against a struggling Browns secondary. But I don't see this being the most fantasy friendly game.

Steelers 23
Browns 16

Makes sense, FSU>>TB>>NO

Late in the season he was playing mostly divisional matchups

Weather - especially the high winds - should keep the score depressed. Teams can operate in rain or snow, but when you have 25 mph winds with gusts up to 40, intermediate-deep passing is a challenge & GL on FGA.

Need some hype on this weather. Can we get an intern standing sideways in the sleet letting us know the heavy stuff’s not coming until later?

Tonight tests my "I will watch NFL Game no matter who plays" philosophy. Warming up for Thanksgiving Cowboys vs Giants.

Lowest O/U this season. Potential snow/sleet with winds around 25mph. Gusts up to 38mph. Going to be an ugly one.

I took Cleveland DST for tonight just because I don't expect many sustained drives. Also the Browns ont have much going for them but home vs Pittsburgh is their Super Bowl. They'll come to play tonight.

Ugh, I have Russell Wilson as my bye week filler for Josh Allen's bye, in what is shaping up to be an ugly weather game. 14 team league and the WW is slim. However, <GULP> Tommy Cultlets is there.

"Oh the weather outside is frightful...but my lazy-boy is so delightful...since there's nothing else on t.v...let it snow let it snow let it snow..."
Love watching "weather" games
On my recliner
With something to keep me warm
The score may be low
The game not that exciting
But still love me some weather games
More punts than touchdowns and field goals
But punts in "weather" can be fun
So...

Steelers- 20
Elves- 10

Seems like when these teams meet up Garrett gets pressure but Watt is usually the one that makes the critical sack/game changing play when they need really it.

edit

Each has played 12 g against. Garret has 9 sacks and 19 TFLs. Watt has 17 sacks and 21 TFLs.

I am not saying the weather will be great but according to this site the winds will be around 13 mph with gusts at 17 mph if true this won't be that much of a factor as first thought at these levels. Gusts get up to 19 mph in the 2nd half.

Here is another site

  • orange PIT @ CLE Rain and snow is extremely likely, potentially all game long. The silver lining here is that the winds stay somewhat manageable, sustained 10-15mph, gusts around or a bit over 20mph. I do view this as a downgrade to passing, not because they can't throw in this weather (there should still be plenty of passing), but because teams may be a bit more run-heavy in wet weather than they otherwise would be.

Thanks to bye week hell, I have to start Juedy. Only other options are players like Pierce and Odunze…well at least I’ll have some action on this game…

I think the weather report may be overblown.

Rain/snow will be light and only 50%'ish in what would be the second half.

Winds now reported as round 14, sure some wind gusts but not sustained. You can see where the flags at the goalpost are not moving.

Not sure how this translates to the game, but the driving conditions are horrible. I'm 3 miles from the stadium about to leave work

Anyone have any insight on if Porter will be locked on one of the Browns receivers? I probably have to start one of them with Smith not practicing.

Rain/snow will be light
Where are you getting this from? It's coming down 2" per hour 10 miles east of the stadium and the band is shifting towards it.
Mainly the Weather channel and Zac Jackson

Also anyone can see the field right now if you turn on the pregame show. Does not look overly windy or a lot of precipitation.
You don't appear to be familiar with lake effect snow

I'm familar with what i"m seeing right in front of my eyes.

Who knew when I came to the Thursday Night Football game thread I'd get a crash course in meteorology
Keep it going Sharks,very interesting

What you're seeing now doesn't matter

Most people don't understand lake effect. I get that. If I didn't live here I wouldn't expend any energy on it either.

I mentioned and referenced the weather reports I saw.
