**TNF on Prime Video - Titans at Steelers** (-3, 37) 8:15 (2 Viewers)

We are a little early on the TNF thread this week, but with the Raiders news, trade deadline, other hyped games this weekend
Didn't want anyone to overlook the fact Will Levis is coming off a 4 TD opening performance, has a lot of confidence going into this game
I would not be shocked if he performs well again

Over / Under on # of functional offenses we’ll see tomorrow?

Imma go with zero.

Levis had some big time throws but much of that was Nuk getting insane separation. Will was pretty inaccurate / inefficient most of his first start, but, that also also means he has room to grow.

Yinzer Halloween fun at the podium:
Trubisky was supposed to talk to the media after Pickett but when Pickett said he’s definitely playing Trubisky then figured it wasn’t worth talking and left.I guess he wasn’t playing in that charade.

Now boys, just stop, you’re both terrible.

Tannhill is officially ruled OUT tonight

-I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that if Will Levis has a strong showing tonight and beats Pittsburgh on the road...Vrabel will HAVE to start Levis the rest of the way

This is potentially a great story.
1st time we will see him start in a Titans uniform
Last week he was a Houston Oiler

I'm surprised more folks are not interested in Will Levis, I doubt everyone sat and watched him this past weekend
With Cousins done, I gotta choose between Jordan Love and Levis. Right now, I'm sitting Levis -- so expect a line tonight like 27-of-30, 450 yards, 6 TDs. Plus 80 yards rushing and two more TDs on the ground. Will be like Bugs Bunny playing the Gashouse Gorillas.

With no Minkah and Cam's first game back, I have a strange feeling that Henry/Spears may go bananas tonight.

This game sounds awful
Ironically this is the most excited I’ve been for a titans game in a while.

Does anyone remember this line?
131586.6720940158.3

Next game that QB played alright but lost to the worst team in the AFC north with a second year QB who would be even worse the rest of his short lived career and an RBBC. :oldunsure:

I am excited to watch Levis, did not see any of the game last week. I do agree that if Levis plays well, he will remain at starter. I see a different game, going with the Titans 27 - 13.

Just based on your description of the dude, I'm assuming this is a Jake Locker stat line?

Mariotta. Lost to the Johnny football led browns the next week.

I’m still of the mindset that the Steelers shut down the Titans. I don’t know why. I just watched all the Levis throws yesterday in the game rewind and saw Deandre Hopkins running free on a busted coverage… running free on a play that a defender stupidly gave up on because he thought DeAndre pushed off, his third td was really nice but it wasn’t an incredible throw by any means, that was all Hopkins… and his 4th TD was a nice throw across the field to the other side of the endzone which might be worrisome for a rookie again if better coverage exists.

He was behind on many throws.

He still looked good and Deandre is great… I just get a sorry feeling in my gut we don’t see it again.

I don’t own Hop or Levis… nor am I playing against them.

Vegas says this is a 20-17 type game. Give or take a few points to one side.

I’m going 21-10 Steelers

I’ve been wrong before… and I’ll be wrong again… but that’s where I’m planting my flag.

I feel similar that a lot of folks are slow to pick up on what Levis accomplished last week
I like your score prediction with the Steelers having issues scoring a lot of points.

Titans 24...Steelers 16, same point total, slightly different spread. Titans pull away late and I'll say they bust a long pass/TD on a 2nd and short, 3rd and short type play.

I think it's naive to not think about what the Titans could do 2nd Half of the season if they win on the road tonight
They would be 4-4 with 9 more games left?
A hot rookie QB that is throwing TD passes all over the place? I know it was 1 game
I think it's exciting to be able to sit down and focus on a guy many of us haven't taken seriously before tonight.
Excellent opp to check in and see what the Titans are running on offense to help Levis succeed,
Levis and the Titans will pay a visit to Miami in a few weeks, good to see what's rolling into Hard Rock

Maybe the Titans have caught Levis in a bottle

Tomlin teams have never posted a losing record. The Pittsburgh offense isn't very good, but the defense is.
I think Levis will play ok, but will struggle overall on the road in Pittsburgh. Pickett has a couple of nice runs.

Steelers 24, Titans 20

ETA: As a TNF game with two mediocre teams, I think it would be foolish to actually bet anything on this one though

Both QBs will make some good plays and some bad plays. The defenses will stop the run occasionally and play good pass defense here and there. The RBs will sometimes run, sometimes catch. WRs will rely on route running and getting open in order to make a play. One team will score more than the other, but it could also end in a tie.

My hot takes and I'm sticking to them.

Lot of similarities in this one. Not feeling good about doubting either team's coach or as if this is a season deciding game but...it's got a weird importance for a midseason game.

Titans run excellent outside but at each tackle spot they stink...explains the 2TE offense. Those extra blockers have not done well to pickup the blitz and here's TJ Watt.

Big Jeff had two sacks, two TFL, a forced fumble and three pressures in a half last week. Incredible half.

Which young QB panics the most?
Each team has big issues in the secondary. Say what ya want, the stats stink. Which QB can capitalize while under pressure?

Levis supposedly had issues throwing left in college and did last week BUT for two years now we've all questioned the left side of the Titans passing game. I would strongly expect the Steelers to hedge right and let Burks catch a couple til they even adjust to normal.

Henry will be everything to Levis' comfort each week. Kelly has been doing an every other week thing where he uses Henry and the next he gets barked at by Vrabel. If the bye was an off week, he is on schedule to sit. If not, or if he finally is doing what the coach has said time n again, Henry is getting a lot of work.

A predictable eight in the box, a D not able to just pin their ears back...it's very important or the whole Titans offense seems to collapse.

Whyle should be back and Chig hasn't been cutting it since camp. Something to look for in FF for sure. If Whyle becomes Levis' safety blanket there could be an FF worthy TE out of nowhere tonight. What if Chig wakes up?

Steelers have running issues and TE is hurt and the mammoth rookie hopes to get involved.
There are so many similarities tonight

34? I'm not 100% sure, but I believe the Matt Canada era in PIT has only produced one 30+ game!

I guess... until tonight.

Related - it was reported a couple weeks ago that Steelers offense under Canada has never had a 400+ yard game - in that same span every other team had at least 2.

I'll pick the Titans 24-16.

I think the Steelers come out and try to get George Pickens going early after last weeks underusage.

For the Titans, I think they streamline things for Levis, which likely means lots of targets for Hopkins, and lots of work for Henry. Historically Henry has kicked it up a notch in November.

I wimped out and started Levis. Jeez.

Beat an NFC South team in his debut too.
