Both Kupp and Nacua expected to suit up and play tonight
What should folks expect?
I could be reading the tea leaves wrong, but I think Puka is more of a hope, than an expected. At the moment, I'm expecting him to be inactive.

I like the Vikings and the under here. I think this is a good week for both RBs, volume for Kyren and volume and efficiency for Jones. Jones might be playing the best football of his career, and that's saying a lot. Expecting Hockenson to play but nowhere near a fulltime role. I expect Darnold to have a good NFL game, but probably not pack the fantasy scoreboard. Undrafted rookie Josh Wallace is starting at slot CB for the Rams, so Jalen Nailor (who I've thought has looked better than Addison this year) might not be a bad DFS play.

I'll be curious how Kupp does. One could argue he and St. Brown are similar players, and that he could have a nice game combating the Vikings blitz heavy defense, on the other hand, Stafford hasn't been on Goff's level this season, and unlike Detroit, the Rams don't have all the other guys you also have to worry about.

I doubt Nacua plays. I agree MN could be vulnerable coming off a war with the Lions. But you have to think that pass rush gets to Stafford more than a few times. I like the under.

Leroy Hoard mentioned the stat that no team has won this year after playing The Lions.
Not only have they not won they've been routed the following week, closest non winner were The Seahawks who lost as 7 point favorites AT HOME to The Giants.
Vikings are clearly the better, more talented team overall.
But The Rams are tough, they just don't quit, ask The Niners.
My head says The Vikings win a tough one,but I'm not gonna ignore "The Lions Effect"
So...

Team That Didn't Play The Lions Last Week- 23

Prior to the season, if you had asked me, I would say LAR -4. Currently, Vegas has MIN -3. I don't think the Rams are as bad as their record, and like I've mentioned elsewhere, they expect (not hope, but EXPECT) to be in the playoff mix in January. Injuries at the skill positions have certainly played a part in their season so far, and they get (at least) one of those guys back tonight.

MIN might be as good as their record shows, but they have yet to really have a "letdown" game so far this year. The closest to that would probably be the 2nd half versus GB. This seems like the perfect time for that to happen, and for MIN to lay an egg.

As a homer, I'm cautiously optimistic (seems like that is my new favorite phrase as a Vikings fan) that they get the job done, and win convincingly. As a life-long Vikes fan with 40+ years of watching them under my belt, though, my gut says tonight will be tough sledding. Call it the Lions effect if you want. Call it coming off of three days rest. Call it that they're facing the most underrated QB in my lifetime, and an absolute tough as nails gamer, in Matt Stafford.

If I'm a gambler, I'm all in on the Rams covering tonight. Wouldn't shock me at all if they win outright, and it wouldn't even surprise me if they win easily. That said, I'll say it comes down to a FG battle late.

MIN 20
LAR 19

Rams are competitive but Vikings shake off the Lions game and get back with a W.

Min 24
LAR 19

Wk 1 MN at NYG +1.5 and the Vikings crush them 28-6
Wk 2 SF at MN +4.5 and the Vikings upset 23-17
Wk 3 HOU at MN +1.5 and the Vikings crush them 34-7
Wk 4 MN at GB -3 and the Vikings pull the upset 31-29
Wk 5 NYJ at MN -2.5 and the Vikings win 23-17 managing to cover the spread yet again
Wk 6 BYE
Wk 7 DET at MN -1.5 and the Vikings fail to win plus cover for the first time all season

Vikings are only laying 3 tonight vs the Rams

I read that no mammal mascot team has beaten early mankind mascots while awaiting the arrival of the La Nina weather pattern when the country of Ukraine is in a current conflict. Seems like decent data for Vikings victory
I like the cut of your jib.

As much as I like that saying, I have no idea what a jib is or why anyone would want to cut it.
Well Leroy, it's a little know fact that this term originates from the nautical world. A jib is a sail at the front of the ship and is triangular in nature, and the word cut describes the shape. Back in the old days these sails would identify what nation the ship was sailing under. So one could judge the vessel from afar and you could approve or disapprove of that ship. The term derives from that and means that you approve of someone's appearance or demeanor.

I learned that from guy I met at a bar when I was in Boston........

I'm starting to lean into the Rams tonight, have we gotten a sure fire BOTH WRs in uniform tonight and expected to play?
Kupp-Nacua-Kyren Williams-Stafford is a different Rams team
Still have a lot of respect for the Vikings and they have made me money this season

Rams lose tonight and its pretty much end of season vs a win and get to 3-4, you're almost even at .500 and can look towards the 2nd Half of the season
Wildcard team last season

Yeah if rams lose tonight they are boned. Short week after a tough game vs detroit vikings should be flat. Rams gonna win this

BTW: While we are doing spreads and picks tonight

MIA -4.5? Gimme the Cards and I'm rooting for the Phins but c'mon
Jacksonville +4, maybe I'm crazy but I kinda like them back at home this week, Packers could be a little flat after some big wins

First two Rams on the field tonight...Nacua and Kupp

The Minnesota Vikings might have a strong FF Defense, meaning they have been great if you have been starting them most weeks
They also have one of the worst against FF Wide Receivers and that means you should be starting your Rams Wide Receivers like Cooper Kupp or Puka Nacua
If you still have them then you should be playing them

I like miami big. Packers too. I think the jags are pretty damn awful all around

What is the "red orb defense alert" that popped up above down and distance during this first Vikings drive?

I remember the neighborhood dad having time to grab and open a beer before lofting a pass to one of us trying to run some routes. Darnold had more time.
