It doesnt look like a very even trade to me - why not ask the team giving up Gore why they made the move before immediately vetoing, however...

Why would you veto this trade?

If Aruba wants to get younger at RB and needs defensive linemen and Ramrod wants a RB for now why would you challenge this trade?

Without seeing thier rosters and league scoring its impossible to judge who gets the better of this deal, but to me it appears to be a well thought out transaction that potentialy benefits both parties.

Again, to give any kind of fair assessment one would need more details, based on what you've provided I would not veto this trade.

OK, I looked, I can see why you'd be bent. Ramrod's going to have a powerful team this year, he's going to be tough to beat. I personally would not make the deal, but if Aruba feels that he is doing the best thing for the future (2-3 years) how can you challenge it. He's not going to win anything this year so why not plan ahead, however he should be asking for more, a lot more IMO.

I'd ask some questions of both parties and other league mates.

The only reason a trade should be looked at and reviewed is if league members suspect some form of Collusion or explicitly Tanking. Anything else is fair game.

This seems like a pretty even trade from a dynasty perspective. One team is moving towards the future, while the other is looking to win now. All things being equal, I'd certainly think getting Gore over Donald Brown would be an upgrade, but value is sometimes in the eye of the beholder.

Would a simple variable, such as the 49ers drafting CJ Spiller, change your opinion on whether a veto would even be considered? Let's say Spiller goes to the 49ers (or Matthews, Best, Dwyer).... I would say the Donald Brown side of the trade may actually look like the winner...

Was nervous there for a sec, my teams are usually named car/team ramrod. I don't think there are grounds for veto, its really hard to know how other owners value players. Homer-ism can affect things as well, so can blowing up your team to rebuild. Apart from collusion, destroying their team because they wont be back next year, or "borrowing" players for bye weeks, owners should be able to do what they want, even if it looks stupid to everyone else.

i have gotten into many biefs over the years objecting to trades.....i dont do it anymore...and have learned that if a league does not have a review board...i really have to think twice about joining...we have all saw crazy trades over the years...and it still gets my goat when i see it especially when a top flight team rapes a wannabee..however in the end its a losing battle to object......i quit or was asked to leave more than one league over this..again...i now do not even consider jioning a league that does not have a review board......if u are compelled to oject anyway...do it behind the sences...however dont be surprised when it leads to nothing..only other members of ur league blasting u

Thank you guys for your posts they are very helpful and I will look to see if I can post on any of yours. Yea this has been a big problem from the get go. This league is going into it's second year and there have been 40 trades already. I think almost ten this year already, needless to say we weren't expecting this many trades. I read the one poster said he dosent join leagues that don't have a review board, how do I obtain this? Is it a website that dose this?

a review board is consisted of usually 3 league members ......they must approve all trades....it is not perfect ..however it is better than nothing....i would go to some other league members who you have had at least some good give and take with and try to recruit 5 other league members to approach the commissioner and push through the trade review board as league poloicy....like i said it is not perfect either however at least there is some sort of oversight...remember though...you have to be tactful or you will find yourself in the line of fire....
