Congrats to Seattle and Pittsburgh fans - as your teams DOMINATED the opposition today. All I wanted was competitive and compelling games - but the Panthers GAVE UP TODAY.Very downer of a day for the NFL fan. Not what I expected whatsoever.Last weekend's games (despite the Bears suckiness) were SUPERIOR. Hell, the Bears got their tales kicked from one end of the field to the other, but they NEVER gave up and only ended up losing by a tuddy and a 2 pt conversion.

Gotta agree that todays games were BAD :X Unless you are a Steelers or Seahawks fan, these games were hard to watch. :tumbleweed: Hope the Super Bowl is a better game than the ones I had to watch today.

Let's just say I finished cleaning the entire house...the ENTIRE house today. Dishes and laundry done too.

It's well known that last weekend was the last great weekend of the season for hardcore NFL junkies. It's called the best weekend for a reason.

I was really looking forward to the conference championship games. Thought they were some great matchups. Boy, was I dissappointed! Here's hoping the Super Bowl is much better.

Last year both Conf. Championship games were blowouts and we got a pretty compelling SB. Hopefully the same happens this year. It looks like a pretty good matchup.

:hophead:

I wasn't surprised by the late game, I had a feeling Seattle would blow them out. To me, the ones who gave up were the Denver D. I expected that to be a 20-17 nailbiter. Instead, Ben and company kept coverting 3rd and 6's easily.

The Bears should be absolutely humiliated that the f'n Seahawks D was able to do what they couldn't, and with complete ease.Hellooooo.. Steve Smith... that's all they have

Totally agree. I predicted a Hawk blow out as well...but thought the Denver/Pitt game was going to be one to remember.

As a Bears homer I agree with you 100%. They should have coverd smith and beaten Carolina. That said, the way Seattle looked today, I doubt the Bears would have done much better than the Panthers did today if they were playing.

im wondering how the playoffs wouldve played out with KC in the mix
The Chiefs would have lost in the first round. Teams that aren't good enough to make the playoffs aren't suddenly going to start winning if they magically get placed there.

I agree. I was immensly disappointed in both games ... But congrats to Seattle/Pitt. I have a feeling it's going to be a great Super Bowl.

I thought the late game was fantastic
Um, the Pittsburgh Steelers were a #6 seed and have won 3 road games in a row. So, I have to disagree with your logic there buddy! Cheifs were playing well the last few weeks.
