Very much agreed. Some of the posters who get abused around here for trolling are not trolls. They may ignore posts that contradict their POV, but for the most part they're here in good faith. That counts for a lot, IMO.

Yes you can.

Criticizing Dems is arguably unpopular in this forum right now because Trump is unpopular. But that doesn’t make this place an echo chamber. An echo chamber doesn’t mean that the majority feels one way, it means everybody feels one way. Your posts are one of many examples that prove that this forum is not and never was an echo chamber. 

 
I want to add that I stand by what I wrote last night as accurate; I wasn’t lying. I have no idea if supermike80 is trolling (that term still strikes me as unclear) but I believe he is being disingenuous for starting this thread under the claim that he would like to see Trump defeated. 

That being said, supermike80 has done nothing, IMO, to warrant being suspended. His posts here, so far as the ones I’ve read, have never been personal in nature and I don’t recall any rude or offensive behavior on his part. My criticism of him is based solely on his ideas and lack of integrity.

Any Dem (and frankly any Republican) should defeat Trump. Now that he will have four years of an atrocious record, and a better understanding by more people of what a fraud he is, he will be left with his staunch base, call it 40%, which is not enough to win. Caveat that a viable third-party candidate would put a significant wrench into things. Caveat #2 is that I am often wrong.

This kind of self-flagellation is a feature of the Party Of Trump. Trump feeds it, it’s a sense of being oppressed, ignored, put upon, and overlooked. I pulled my prior points in this thread but I’ve said before this so-called ‘trolling’ is a national phenomenon and it’s a manifestation of exactly what is going on in DC in the Trump wing.

To discuss the topic - I’ve long said that I hate our current two party system.  The only idea that has been proposed of late that I think has any chance of helping in the short term is Ranked Voting.  We may actually see a viable 3rd party candidate and someone like Bernie or Kasich may be more emboldened to run as an Independent.

Having said that, I’ll be voting for the Democratic nominee no matter who it is.

It's really a problem nation wide.  I swear there are people in this country on both sides of the aisle who dislike the other side more than they dislike a foreign adversary.

That's a big problem.  Where does it all end?  You talk with some people on the right and they absolutely hate liberals.  I'm not a big fan of conservatives but I think I would choose them over another country.  It's not going to end well, this division, and I dont know the outcome , but I fear its going to be very ugly.

Also far be it from me to be a grammar nazi, but when bragging about the intelligence you bring you might want make sure your grammar, in that post at least, is on par with your bragging.

Comparatively speaking, it's night and day with the problems.  One group is owned by Trump....the other isn't.

And again Bernie is currently beating Trump by double digits in those states that the Democrats need to flip back.
