Toilet Bowl Thread - Teams That Should Have Made The Playoffs, but... (1 Viewer)

This thread is intended for fantasy rosters you thought were a lock to make the fantasy playoffs about mid-way through the season but now things are looking bleak. Hope this isn't a :honda: but feel free to lock if so.

I'll start things out:

Starters:

QB: Andrew Luck

RB: LeSean McCoy

RB: Andre Ellington

WR: Julio Jones

WR: Kelvin Benjamin

WR: Reggie Wayne

TE: Rob Gronkowski

W/R: Isaiah Crowell

W/T: Percy Harvin

K: Adam Vinetari

DEF: Detroit Lions

Reserves:

Ryan Mathews

Bryce Brown

Josh Gordon

Kyle Rudolf

Michael Floyd

Green Bay Packers

Not my team, but this team was 3rd highest scoring in one of my leagues (and way ahead of the 4th place team) where 6 of 12 teams make the playoffs. PPR. Starting roster below:

QB: Rivers

RB: Murray, Forsett

WR: A Brown, Roddy, Hawkins

Flex: Joique

TE: Graham

I owned his draft pick so him missing the playoffs was $$$, but man did he deserve to be in there. Brown/Graham/Murray was worth massive points all on its own most weeks, and Forsett was RB6 in PPR as well.

ETA: The really interesting thing here is that the final playoff spot goes to the highest scoring team left regardless of W/L precisely to prevent this kind of thing. This guy's W/L was poor due to bad luck despite scoring a lot of points, but he was even more insanely unlucky in that the 2nd highest scoring team in the league also had a poor W/L and took that overall points playoff spot, outscoring this guy's team by only 5 points for the season.
