New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and his wife, Gisele Bundchen, reportedly are heading toward a divorce. Star Magazine reports Brady is becoming fed up with Bundchen's controlling behavior and may soon call it quits.
Brady and Bundchen, who've been married since 2009, could be nearing a split.
"According to insiders, Gisele, 34, is supercontrolling with Tom and has final say on everything from how their home is decorated to exactly how and where their children, Benjamin, 4, and Vivian, 19 months, are raised. ...
"In the past, Tom, 36, went along with Gisele's demands in order to keep the peace, but pals insist he's finally starting to stand his ground. 'She throws an insane tantrum when things don't go her way,' says the source."
The source went on to give an example.
"One time, Tom didn't do one of the chores on his list, and she berated him - even telling him that he's a terrible role model for their children," the source said. "But instead of doing what she wanted, he just took the kids and left the house. Gisele was shocked."
Star Magazine quoted a friend of Tom's as saying, "She rules Tom's life. Nobody would be surprised if he threw in the towel soon."
The same friend described how Bundchen enforces a strict chore regimen that Brady must follow.
"They have housekeepers," the friend told Star Magazine, "but Gisele won't let them do anything. She makes Tom get up at 6 a.m. with the children and then has him scrub the toilets and clean the floors while she sleeps in. She thinks that because she gave birth, her work is done."
Star Magazine is the only news outlet presently reporting the disharmony in Brady and Bundchen's marriage. The couple was last spotted publicly during the 2014 FIFA World Cup closing ceremony in Brazil, where Bundchen unveiled the trophy.
