Tom Brady forward? (1 Viewer)

I know Brady has never had a great supporting WR corps. He has been a top fantasy QB the last couple of years. I was targeting Mcnabb, but he was taken, and I had no choice but to grab Brady, I took a QB late. I do have Leftwhich as a backup. I know the Pats will focus more on the run this year, but can I expect above average stats for Brady this year, or just wishful thinking? Opinions? Thanks.

He should do MUCH better from here on out, as he only has to play the leagues' best defense once more...

On a more serious note, I wouldn't be too comfortable with him. With Dillon and Maroney looking real good I expect them to push eachother, and the Pats should be successful running the ball. I think Brady's biggest role will be keeping drives alive when they get stuffed on a couple runs. I don't see a whole lot of pass-happy game plans from BB. Their personnel just doesn't support it, and I think they can be more successful with what their personel supports. JMO...

He'll be fine. Brady's strength relies in his ability to spread the ball around, not have a huge receiver. He'll be QB 4-5 from here on out.

I have had him ranked in the 8-10 range since Branch started holding out. He has no one noteworthy at all to throw to at WR. He may still get a few TD passes, but I have to think his yardage totals will suffer tremendously (just like this past weekend).

Defenses will single cover the receivers and double cover Watson. That will leave screens and gimmick plays (WR or TE screens, RBs playing as WR, etc.) as ways to fool defenders. They have no deep threat at the moment (Gabriel and Jackson are still dinged at the moment).

I think anyone thinking Brady is a Top 3-5 QB is getting set up to be disappointed.

FBG has him top 5 QB going forward
They didn't ask for my opinion. Don't say I didn't call it early.Brady was never Top 5 until last year when:A) Fantasy QB scoring overall droppedB) The Pats couldn't run the ballC) The defense couldn't stop Pop Warner teams from scoringD) Everyone got hurtE) They had WRsF) They had more than one WR that had ever played in the Patriots systemG) They had more than one WR with a career high of more than 28 receptionsH) They didn't draft a RB in the first roundThere are SO MANY signs that are not in Brady's favor this year. So no, I do not agree with the #5 ranking for Brady. But he is actually sliding, as he at one point was #2. A few more so-so weeks and I think he will fall even more.
