***Tom Brady owners, check in here*** (1 Viewer)

first of all, if you are a Brady owner, congratulations, because you are likely in the upper half of your league standings because of Brady. What's your record and what place are you in?

With the Patriots, and Brady on a bye this week I want to hear who you guys are going with at QB this week. Do you have a capable backup you can plug-in, or will you have you hit the waiver wire and pickup and less than capable starter for this week?

also, how concerned are you guys that Brady may lose playing time later in the season as the Pats wrap up the AFC East and assure themselves a playoff spot?

Are you considering making a deal or picking up a solid backup in case Brady were to lose playing time during the fantasy playoffs are are you gonna ride or die with Brady as your QB?

let's discuss

Brady / Welker owner here...so week 10 has been the one dark cloud on an otherwise very blue sky.

I've been holding Warner for week 10 and the Lions for awhile. I just need his arm to stay attached for 1 more game.

Given the 'take no prisoners' attitude so far...I'm not too concerned with NE resting / protecting Brady.

I'm counting on those horses all the way to the finish line.

i assume the Brady bottom line of "we need going into week 17" consists of three items:

1. he's very close to breaking manning's record

and/or

2. the pats are undefeated

and/or

3. the pats somehow don't have home field advantage locked.

I'm on top, but it's pretty close w/a few other guys.

we start 16 (idp) and sit 6, so I carry no bench qb and will probably just leave that spot open.

am currently talking to a couple guys for trades involving their 2nd qb, but don't expect much to come of that --- if I was to grab a fill in, it would be losman off fa pool.

our playoffs are weeks 15+16 and I'm not all that worried about them sitting brady --- I'll live and die w/brady.

I picked up Bulger from the waiver wire several weeks ago. Some poor Bulger owner couldn't take it anymore. Anyways, he will have a big day against the Saints' D this week! Brady may be on bye this week, but my fantasy team won't even miss a beat.

Bulger owners, start him with confidence week 10!!!!!

I wouldnt worry about Brady sitting. Belichick has a history of not resting his players. Even in both 14-2 seasons, the Pats starters only sat the 2nd half of week 17. Dungy is the guy that sat his starters for 2.5 games when they were 13-1 and lost in the first round of the playoffs. Belichick is definitely not that guy.

First place with Brady.

Have to start Campbell in one league and Huard in another (dynasty and have Schaub as my back up).

As far as what to expect towards the end of the regular season, I just picked up Cassell in case he ends up starting.

Hass gets the start, then back to the MVP.

I'm not too worried about Brady losing much, if any, time during weeks 14-16. NE plays the NYJ week 15 and MIA week 16, so even if Brady plays half the game he might still put up 250/3, and that will be fine by me.

I have no plans of picking up another QB for the playoffs. Hass is capable enough if need be.

I'm sticking with him after this week, how can you not? As far as this week, I'm looking at Lossman, Warner (just dropped), or Mcnair....SLIM PICKINGS....... :D

i have big ben as my back-up. hope he's feeling well this week.
I'm in the same boat...that Monday night game was agony for me because 1) Ben went OFF on my bench and 2) watching him get nailed nearly gave me a panic attack. Great matchup vs. CLE this weekend though.I am going to live and die with Brady...I am been getting offers for Ben but I am going to hang on him in case of Brady late season resting/other complications.

I am in first with a 2 game lead, so as long as I maintain my points lead for the regular season $$$, I just need 3-2 to clinch a playoff bye. As long as Brady plays well into week 15/16, I think I am fine.I don't have Ben, but I have Romo and Derek Anderson and while I have had trade inquiries, I start one of those 2 at my flex spot every week and I am keeping both just in case as Romo and Brady both could potentially sit a lot week 17 and that is my league's championship. The playoff $$$ is a lot less than the regular season $$$, so not as big a deal if they both sit as that is kind of like a bonus. Also, as I am sure a lot of Brady owners feel, trading from first place is near impossible. For instance, I am trying to upgrade my depth at RB or improve a starter and I have Roy Williams, Cotchery and Anderson as bench guys, but I get offers like Maroney for Romo. :moneybag:
