Tom Brady (1 Viewer)

With hits he's taken recently to the receiving corps, notably Givens and Branch, where do you view Brady? This season and beyond do you see his stock fall? Do you foresee the Pats flurting with this extra 1st rd. pick to land a high profile receiver? Free Agency (not sure who will be there)?

I'm mixed personally as I see the Pats losing their mojo w/ Seymour, Harrison, Bruschi, etc. getting up there in age. At the same time we have key new additions in Jackson, Maroney, Samuel, etc. to keep the dynasty somewhat intact. This Brady situation reminds me of the questions often asked about the career of Barry Sanders. What if he played behind the Dallas or Denver lines? Brady just has never had that TRUE STUD for a receiving target that people can say, wow that's one of the best tandems ever. At the same time I guess that's what makes both great at their position. Getting the best out of avg. players, Barry's O-line and Brady's offense (Wr's).

Seymour and age?

As for Brady, I do worry some (re WRs)but it's all about faith in BB and Pioli the last so many years.

I think Brady has been pretty amazing. The Joe Montana comparisons are not so far fetched. Brady has never had a Jerry Rice but he has performed well anyways.

I think Jackson has a lot of promise to become a great Wr eventualy. Give the rookie some time to develop.

The 2007 draft class has several good Wrs projected to come out. The Patriots might be able to get one of them.

Maroney looks like the real deal and the offensive and defensive lines are great. The Patriots look to be a very good team now and for a long time moving forward.

The problem with Tom Brady this year will be more running the football and lots of short passes. I feel that he will have more 200 yard 1 touchdown games than 300 yard 2 or 3 touchdown games. I hope I am wrong but I don't see Brady as fantasy stud (I have him in two leagues), but I feel he will still be one of the better quarterbacks to start anyway.

I wouldn't worry too much about what Tom Brady has around him on offense. Most of his short career has been played without much help on his side of the ball, and he has won and put up good numbers without it.

Pats homer, I agree Brady will not nearly live up to his ADP of QB2/3. Not sure why he was ever going that high anyway.

I don't think the WR corps is that much of an issue, or at least won't be in a few weeks when all the moving parts are acclimated and adjusted. The problem is Pats are going to run *way* more this year.

And as it get colder and colder they will just start running more & more.

For 06, I see Brady as a great cog in a QBBC, not an every week must start. Not exactly what you wanted for where you drafted him.
