Tonight 10pm EST "The Drive Block" The Live Audible Call-In (1 Viewer)

Questions for tonight's show:

1. Question One:

I am in a tight battle for the division title. I need to start TWO of the following WRs this week, which ones get the job done?

WR Burress at Baltimore

WR Avery vs. 49ers

WR Marshall at Falcons

WR S. Moss vs. Cowboys

WR Muhammad vs. Lions

Thanks!

2. Question Two:

I'm in an IDP league and need to bench ONE of these LBs this week. Who sits?

Eric Barton

AJ Hawk

Ray Lewis

Patrick Willis

I think Barton and Lewis are no-brainers this week, so it comes down to Hawk or Willis. Willis' matchup vs. the Rams concerns me, but so does the uncertainty of whether or not Hawk moves to MLB. If it was you guys, which one would you bench?

Thanks!

Good to have you back, Cec!

I'm 10-0 in my league (just finished besting the wife's team for the second time this year this past weekend) and have already clinched the top spot for the playoffs, I only have a short question for this week:

Who is the better TE start for Week 11: Winslow vs. BUF or Cooley vs. DAL?

Winslow was a monster last Thursday, but I'm a bit concerned that the Bills will give him extra attention and force Brady Quinn to throw down field with his less-than-accurate arm. I think the Bills give up pretty good fantasy numbers to opposing TEs, but they would be foolish to let Winslow beat them (unless he fumbles more away this week).

On the other hand, Cooley is coming off a bye and might not have Clinton Portis in the running game to keep the 'Boys honest. Even if Betts can go or, heaven forbid, Shaun Alexander is the starter, do you see Cooley being kept in more to run block and protect Campbell, or would he be free-roaming in the secondary as part of a passing attack that has to step it up to make up for a Portis-less running game?

Appreciate all the hard work from you guys. I'm in 4 leagues - 1st place in three of them and 3rd in the last, and I still credit my membership to the site and your podcasts for it (although I have long since dumped Zach Miller in all my leagues). Three quick items:

[1] This week I feel like I pulled off a coup, I traded MJD for Reggie Bush. While MJD has some real nice matchups late in the playoffs, I thing Bush will give me more consistent play. That said, do I start a gimpy Bush vs KC this weekend? Its an awful tempting matchup but he probably won't be 100%. Alternate plays could be Tim Hightower, Justin Fargas, or Peyton Hillis. I would lean toward Hightower, but dang...it's KC!

[2] In another league, I have several viable options at a W/R flex position: Andre Johnson, Jonathan Stewart, MJD, Braylon, Peyton Hillis or Larry Johnson. Andre Johnson is the logical choice but I think Houston is going to run on Indy. I'm really tempted by Stewart's matchup with Detroit and the possibility of garbage time. Thoughts?

[3] In a heated exchange over a prospective trade, I boasted to a competitor that Jake Delhomme would have more points this week than either of his QBs combined, Jason Campbell and Marc Bulger, and he dared me to put my money where my mouth was. The wager is over a pitcher of beer at the managers lunch next week. Am I buying beer? Mind...he's against Detroit.

Thanks.

thanks Cec, You & Siggy are THE BEST - love your insight.

The whole Portis injury situation - Betts, SA, Cartwright? Sun night game...Uurgh!!

& Gore's concussion too!

Also just a quick blurb/question (not meant to be addressed on The Drive Block) concerning an ex-Bronco

I know y'all are down on D Foxworth/CB/ATL

I have to tell you he played one HELL of a game vs N.O. last week & is lookin' real gooood now starting for the Falcons

(& mind you I'm not comparing him to the ex-Falcon, ex-Raider & newest 'Skin - MeAngelo "toast" Hall)

Brees & Co. went after him & he made some great plays both vs the pass & the run.

Foxworth is starting @ CB opposite C Houston down in ATL for the Falcons & playing lights out

He's got talent, he's young & hungry - why are you guys so down on him?

Hey Guys,

Great show. I am 7-3 and 8-2 in both of my leagues. Thanks for your great advice.

I am in a standard scoring league with 0.5 PPR. I start 2 RB, 2 WR and 1 flex (RB or WR).

I'm starting the following:

A. Peterson @ TB

M. Turner vs. Den

A. Boldin @ Sea

R. White vs. Den

Who should I start in my flex spot?

Chris Johnson @ Jax or R. Wayne vs. Houston?

Thanks!

What up!

1) I need top insight on this question since I sat Cotchery

which of these guys do you think I should go with this week alongside Megatron in non-PPR:

Owens vs WAS

Bowe vs NO

Royal vs ATL

I think the DAL offense is really going to go off with Romo back now, and Owens has been good vs. WAS historically.

OR

do I sit Bush and start 2 of them even if come Sunday Bush is officially active? OR should I pick up Jerious Norwood and play him as my flex? (Id have to drop my WR6 Chambers or RB5/6 Felix Jones or Rhodes, and I own MB3)

Sorry for the confusion there.

2) do you think Kevin Boss will remain a viable option at TE for the rest of the season? I think I finally found my permanent Zach Miller replacement!

I have a couple of WDIS questions in a standard scoring 10 team redraft...

League 1

At QB I have been rolling with McNabb (@ Cinci,) but Matt Ryan is hot and I am sorry to say, has a sweet match-up vs Denver this week.

League 2

Who would you start at WR3 behind Wayne and V. Jackson; Burress, M. Jenkins, or Breaston?

League 3

Who do you like best this week Ginn, A. Gonzales or Randle El?

TIA :hey:

Hey guys...looking to sew up a playoff berth this week w/ some of your great advice.

In a non ppr:

1) play 2 wr from:

Roddie White...looks like a lock for one of them

Megatron ...who's his QB this week?

B. Edwards...Quinn killed me last week with his awesome 10 yd throws

H. Ward

or

Breaston

2nd) I picked up B. Miller off waivers this week, should I play him over Shockey and Greg Olsen?

Thanks for you thoughts....

This year is going by to fast...

Time to sit back and enjoy the game w/ my favorite beverage...that tall glass of Jack Black

Go Pats

(Just wanted to hear die hard Steeler's fan say it)

hey guys, love the show.

QB questions here is my dilema:

Delhomme, Big Ben, or Tyler Thigpen.

Also PPR league,

2 RB

ADP-start

Graham

LJ

P Thomas

2 WR

Boldin-start

Curtis

Avery

Flex

whoever is left.

Thanks guys.

?

I've had a gaping hole in my lineup at WR3 all year long. In my non-PPR league it seems like there are 100 'meh' guys averaging 5-7 points per game.

I'd love to add one or two swing for the fences WRs for the playoffs--guys that are likely still available that could put up some big numbers if things broke right. Any thoughts from the pool of players that are likely to be available in a competitive league (e.g. Mark Bradley is long gone)?

Kids -

Dynasty question. 16 man rosters / 10 team league / start QB RB RB WR WR TE KR Flex. I drank the Torain kool-aid, although I'm fairly set at RB. I'm now thinking of dropping Torain altogether for Malcolm Floyd (my other receivers are Roddy White, Andre Johnson and Calvin Johnson). Thoughts? I still like Torain's chances next season, but I could use the depth at WR, although I can't really see any other available WRs starting over those three the rest of the season. Should I sit and see what happens with Torain's rehab and camp? I can't see Floyd staying on the WW for the rest of the season.

My RBs are Gore, Reggie, Jamal, DWard, DMac, Torain and Pierre Thomas, if that helps at all.

Again, it's sort of icing at this point as it's not going to have much of an impact this season (barring injury).

Thanks.

Bloom, You were right.

Cant believe I started Charles over B. Jacobs! I still won, but could have had high game. Maybe I was just a week early? Im thinking I have to go with LJ over B. Jacobs this week!?!!?

Whats up with Joey Galloway. I have been saving him on my bench thinking he might get in there. I havent seen much news on him. With Hillard having concusion issues is Galloway finally a play? or should I just cut him lose?

TE Injury woes.. Start Witten or Scheffler? Who can be productive with the injuries? How bad is Schef?

Hey guys, I'm looking for advice on trading for a running back. My team is strong at QB and WR, but is a little weak at RB. I'm pretty much a lock to make the playoffs, so I'd want strong week 15/16 matchups for any RB I trade for. I've been focusing my trade efforts on Gore and Tomlinson and am confident I could land either, but it's really hard for me to give up guys like Bowe and Ryan for a RB that I will likely only get a couple years of production from. Should I trade for one of those guys or stick with what I have? My roster is below. Thanks for the help!

Jay Cutler

Matt Ryan

David Garrard

Brady Quinn

Drew Stanton

Josh Johnson

DeAngelo Williams

Thomas Jones

Earnest Graham

Jonathan Stewart

Willie Parker

Peyton Hillis

Derrick Ward

Kevin Faulk

Michael Bush

Ahman Green

Pierre Thomas

Leonard Weaver

Ryan Moats

Lorenzo Booker

Brian Calhoun

Andre Hall

Chris Taylor

Anquan Boldin

Brandon Marshall

Greg Jennings

Dwayne Bowe

Roy Williams

Greg Camarillo

Justin Gage

Mike Walker

Mark Bradley

Hey guys...the show rules

I need to start one RB between Deangelo Williams and Brandon Jacobs. My gut says D-Will will produce vs Detroit...but it's hard to not start Jacobs as he isriding the hot hand at the moment. WDIS

Also the report is that Champ Bailey is practicing. Should I be concerned about starting Roddy White this week.

I listen to all your podcasts - You guys rock!

I usually don't ask...........but contending 2 teams with tough decisions:

Team 1: PPR flex needed: Camarillo, Avery or MJD

Team 2: Also PPR

1. I need a WR from D Jax, Curtis, or Avery - I'm guessing you guys will say Avery - am I wrong?

2. I'm really pumped about Hillis this week so talk me down here if I'm wrong for my flex: Choices are Hillis, MJD (hate the match-up), or one of the 3 above mentioned WRs?

What say you, sages? Thanks for the advice and for the great job u guys do.

rookie question, bloom:

a friend offered me what will likely be the 1.03 or 1.04 pick for mendenhall. i asked about shady last week and would love to get him. without knowing the destination of course, what do you think about this deal? thoughts on mendy?

also, long-term potential of breaston and lawrence jackson. i have suggs and tuck signed to longer deals in a start2 DL league and i have no qb signed for next year. thinking about trying to trade for roethlisberger. a deal with breaston in the package is possible. a lot of teams are hurting for DEs and i may try to trade suggs if i have to.

BLOOM, REACT TO ME!

thanks as always.

Hey Guys,

QB issues this week: Delhomme vs. Edwards

Sure Jake plays Detroit but (1) he sucked last week and (2) how much of a fight can Detroit put up in this game? How much will Jake need to pass?

Edwards has not looked good lately, but he played against the Jets and Pats who are both tough against the run and made his life more difficult. Cleveland is a pretty good matchup for an opposing QBs (and the Bills should sustain more drives against the Browns). Am I overthinking this or do you believe there's an argument for Edwards?

Thanks

BBum

If it is not too late, I am interested in who you like to start at RB with DeAngelo Williams.... Hightower vs SeaLT vs PittSlaton vs IndRhodes vs HouI didn't start Thomas Jones tonightI am leaning Hightower, but wanted to get your thoughts.btw, this is a non ppr... traditional 10 yds rush = 1 point, 10 yds rec = 1 point, TDs = 6
didn't get to it on the air, but Hightower is the way to go. thanks for listening!

hit me up on XBox Live grimjack1977

My heart is still in my mouth. This game was about as stressful as any Jets game I can remember.

The Dolphins and Raiders games earlier this year also was pretty crazy as far as stress and excitement goes, but they didn't have the 60+ minute intensity of this one. Probably the best comparison is the last Jets win in Foxboro in '06 or maybe the playoff game that year.

Nice! I'm trying to get my crappy connection upgraded, but I'll hit you up. I have a great bunch of guys (and a few ladies) that I play with (read: not 14 year-olds screaming obscenities and calling you noob)
Well where is the fun in that?Sadly, no XBox here (old one died, no money for 360 WAHHH) so I can only remember the pimply faced l33t gamers yelling NOOB fondly....
