I happen to have Gonzo on my dynasty team.

His productivity was a little lacking last year as he was being held back to block more than usual. When he was used in the red zone the ball bounced off his numbers more than once. Roaf and Shields are back for 06, so does this tell us he will be used more?

New O.C. Mike Solari has a run first mentality, as reported, should this also be a concern for drafting Gonzo in F.F. this year?

Hate to say it but Gonzo may be used as trade bait (multiple player) in my Dynasty league.

Gonzo was the #2 TE in receptions and yardage; the TDs were an aberration last year.

The only question I have is with the new coaching staff, will he be used as much? I think he's still a pretty good bet as a top-3, and possibly #1 TE for the year with Gates having to deal with a green QB.

Yardage is nice but 2 TD's ALL YEAR is low. Now with LJ looking for 2000 yards this year it just seems like there may be a lot more run first plays than passing.

LT was looking for 2000 yards last year; Gates put up 1100/10.

Herm Edwards = Less passing, more running

I believe that means more of the same for Gonzo.block, block, block.

I'm none too optimistic about Gonzo's numbers getting much better.I expect his yardage and receptions to decrease, and his TDs to increase, ultimately with him ending up at a Top 5-10 TE.

I am not too concerned that the coaching change will negatively affect his numbers. People had the same concern when Vermeil took over and installed the STL offense, which supposedly could ignore the TE in favor of the WRs and RB.
