Tony Scheffler - Questionable (1 Viewer)

From Sportsline:

Broncos coach Mike Shanahan said TE Tony Scheffler will suit up Thursday night at Cleveland and test his injured groin during pregame warmups to see if he can play.

(Updated 11/05/2008).

Fantasy Analysis

Scheffler would likely see limited reps even if he did play. Consider other options before leaning on the Broncos' best receiving tight end in Week 10. When healthy, he fits the bill as a low-end No. 1 Fantasy option because of the offense he plays in and the opportunities he gets to be productive.

Tony Scheffler-TE- Broncos Nov. 6 - 6:07 pm et NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports that Tony Scheffler (groin) is active for Thursday night's game against Cleveland. If the Broncos can't get the ground game going with inexperienced rookie Ryan Torain, Scheffler could be in for a lot of targets. He is worth using if you're struggling for tight end options this week. Scheffler's return especially benefits Brandon Marshall, who should see fewer double teams with a speedy vertical threat exploding down the field adjacent him.

He'll be better than the fill-in turds (Carlson, Vernon Davis) I've had to use recently over him.

Any good info? We have some stuff on Selvin. What about Scheff?
CBSSportsline says he is starting. I guess I'm going for it. Can't be too much worse than Marcedes Lewis Can he?
Damn... missed putting him in my starting lineup by about a minute. :hifive:Here's to hopeing that Shockey comes through for me. :shark: ... and yes. I'll keep you all updated. ;)

did he reinjure himself? what happened? I didnt see the game. it's a shame, this guy could be top a top 4 TE if he could just stay on the field in that offense.

I am having a hard time beating myself up for not starting him, as he wasn't a sure deal and seemed to be more of a chance to get blanked. Then of course, he gets reinjured after putting up a monster 90 yards.

Ho-Hum. The points sure would have been nice but I guess I was right to worry he wasn't ready.
