Where do you stick him in? Seemed like Bush got a lot of snaps last night. Plus Denver isn't that great a defense.

LOL- Bush got a lot of carries.

I think McFadden is top 5 in PPR and close to that in standard.

I'd put him at four ahead of CJ2k. And this is coming from someone who was not that high on DMac and loved CJ coming out of college.

Oh yeah....well here's my list:

1. Darren Sproles

2. Mike Tolbert

3. Ray Rice

4. Matt Forte

5. LeSean McCoy

6. Reggie Bush

7. Tim Hightower

8. Carnell Williams

9. Cedric Benson

10. Ryan Matthews

How is McFadden getting a boost in PPR? He had one catch last night.

:penalty: Seriously?

Dude rushes for almost 7 YPC, around 160 yds on 23 touches, was an instant replay challenge away from adding a TD, and you're going to leave him out of the top 10 after week 1 because you think Bush's 30 yards on 9 carries against the same not "that great" defense is some kind of a concern?

How in the hell does week 1's leading rusher (150yds) not make your top 10?!

He had 47 for 507 last year. No reason after one week to think that will regress significantly.

Good list.I think you should move Hightower down a notch cause I saw Helu get a carry.

I think your :sarcasm: detector needs recalibrating. Unless I'm mistaken Jayrod is mocking the op's top 10 list with a similarly off-base top 10 list.

You mean other than what happened in the game, right?

I own Bush and, as excited as I was by his perfomance last night, he doesn't make this list. You need to be able to run between the tackles, and he can't.

The unmentioned guy who I think DOES belong after week 1 is Beanie Wells. If you watched him, he's running extremely hard. He has no competition for carries. At this time he represents an elite fantasy running back, IMO.

Right. I didn't see anything in last nights game to re-evaluate:
[*]OAK offensive scheme

[*]McFadden's role

[*]McFadden's ability to catch the ball

Maybe you saw something different? :boxing:

He only had one target, so....yeah. He's on pace for a Turner like year.

Notice the bolded.

I love Just Cuz. High comedy.
Your telling me Sproles is the best RB in the league? lmao, yes I must be the funny one for disagreeing.Week 1 over reaction, I love it, I already gobbled up Vernon Davis and marshawn Lynch cause of that kind of thinking from many fantasy owners.

from the look of things, I think this is a fantasy points scored thread.... but we dont know the scoring system so I cannot say for sure.

Not all leagues award individual players points for return yardage and/or TDs. I highly doubt Jayrod or anyone else is calling Sproles the NFL's best RB, or predicting a #1 finish for Sproles at season's end. He was merely posting the stats from his league's 'unorthodox' scoring system.

Where do you stick him in? Seemed like Bush got a lot of snaps last night. Plus Denver isn't that great a defense.
most ominous is that it appears the oakland staff will primarily use bush not only inside the 5, but the entire red zone. this was not the case last yr. i honestly think mcfadden may be a sell right now.

Fail.DMC was the goal-line back on almost every play where he didn't just reel off a 50 yard sprint.

Top 10 RB after week 1 should exclude Mendenhall.
No it shouldn't. Over reaction to week 1 on the road vs. a tough Raven team. Plus they abandoned the run after getting so far behind. I though he looked great until the fumble/6 yard loss, which wasn't his doing anyway. Cake schedule pretty much from here on out

:goodposting: McFadden is the goods. This was no week 1 fluke. McFadden's last 4 games of 2010, he rushed for 384 yards on 66 carries for an average 5.8 YPC - last night was picking up where he left off - and I don't own him in any leagues (but I will keep trying).

McFadden should easily finish as an RB1 - even in 10 teamers. Book it. Take it to the bank. Put in a pizza box an give it your girlfriend. Done.

Anybody who didn't have DMC in the top 10 simply didn't watch him a) last night, or b) much at all in 2010. Pure stud, and could be top 3 for the year.

I am one of the "haters" (not really but just not as enthusiastic as his "lovers"), but even I agree that after last night's performance he is top 10. My concern is still injury and whether he can make it through a full season, but he certainly performed like a top back last night.Although Bush played a role, he is clearly the complementary back. And didn't he get most of his carries late in the game? Not too many RBs do NOT have a complementary back--only the very top guys like Rice, ADP, and MJD. I don't see McFadden in that top tier, but I do see him in the second tier of backs: RB5-RB10 (depending on whether it is TD heavy or PPR).

im waiting for the gamerewind to upload but i remember 2 series where bush came in around the 10 yard line. those were the only 2 times they got there, other than the 50 yarder. i guess you could just argue he was winded on those series.

My top 10 is the same exact 10 guys I had when I did my last draft. Only notable change is Mendenhall dropping due to the Steeler's oline issues (i.e. Willie Colon done for the year):

ADP

LBJ

Rice

McCoy

Dmac

Foster

Charles

Felix

Hightower

Mendenhall

Bush got the carries to end the game, and I have ZERO problem with that.Besides, until "running out the clock" Bush's role was limited. He did come in after the "horse collar" or whatever happened, play. Typically you do not want your rb to have more than 25 rushes, especially given McFadden's injury history. I was more than elated to see he was not going to take the punishment in the end. Or maybe that was b/c I was already up and won my game :P .
