Greg Jefferies - Hard to call out rookies for the top 10, but I liked the big play ability I saw on Sunday. Favre will be throwing often this year and he should benefit from it.
Wasn't he an Oilers receiver way back when?
Heywood Jefferies was the Oiler

Bump to revisit after a couple of weeks.

Obviously Fitz and Stallworth will be bumped down now. Anyone have a new top 10 WR ranking from here on out......

Dude, you listed like 20 receivers.TOP 10!!
Sorry to be a wise-###Here is mine. 1-10, according to who I would trade for who. Meaning, I would trade 10 for any of the 1-9, I owuld trade 7, for any of the 1-6, I wouldnt trade 1 for any of them.1. Steve Smith. Don't know how he can be any where other than 1.2. Torry Holt. The man is money.3. Boldin.4. Harrison.5. Fitz.6. Chad Johnson.7. D Jax8. J Walker9. Driver10. TO
This is the current top ten. I wrote next to the people I think will stay in the top ten. Open mouth and insert foot.
You listed 16 WR's as the current top 10 :confused: in your post and only 8 that would stay in the top 10. I hope you are only stating that you are inserting your own foot. Maybe I am misunderstanding something, so I stand corrected if I am missing it.
These 16 players are in the top 10 in points, I imagine that some of them of the same # of points so they are all listed. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I'll give it a shot:1. Torry Holt - Mr. Consistency2. Steve Smith - So explosive ... hard to put anyone else I'd prefer in my lineup above him, except Holt3. Andre Johnson - That offense is really utilizing him this year4. Darrell Jackson - Seattle will be forced to continue to lean on the pass5. Anquan Boldin - Should get a bump in targets for at least the next few weeks6. Terrell Owens - I think this is the week he gets back on track and shows how he can dominate a game7. Reggie Wayne - The guy has been tackled at the 1-yd line like 5 times already ... imagine if ...8. Marvin Harrison - meh ... I think he should be higher, but can't justify it in my mind at the moment9. Lee Evans - A ton of opportunities and a pretty decent schedule down the stretch10. Chad Johnson - Some uncertainty on my part ... he's on the fringe of the top 10 for meGuys that missed the cut:Plaxico BurressTJ HoushmazillyTerry GlennBernard BerrianChris Chambers

Berrian deserves some consideration here. He's the #2 WR in my main league so far, and the Bears have won every game but one by at least 26 points, so he's had nothing late. In the one game that was close, he had 11 targets.

I say half the list of projected top 10 will be wrong by years end. So far now ( in my league at least witha basic scoring system )

1. Berrian

2. Holt

3. S Moss

4. KEYSHAWN JOHNSON

5. Colston

6. Jennings

7. Andre Johnson

8. Reggie Williams

9. Cotchery

10. Glenn

There is maybe what? 2 or 3 WRs in that list that were projected top 10 WRs. Very odd year

Beware, things usually level out to where they should be. Albeit with WRs it's less the case cause mid tier players suddenly become targets in the red zone and don't face double teams. But with RBs and QBs, things always seem to fall into place by the end of the year.

This will not be the final list, however.Agree that it is very odd...with the exception of Holt of course.

Berrian definitely deserves consideration here. Other than, "well he wasn't projected well preseason", there hasn't been any good arguments against him keeping it up. Reasons he should continue to produce:

1. He has outperformed nearly every "stud" receiver in the league through the first five weeks.

2. He has not been getting his numbers in garbage time, so no reason to think the Bears performance will prevent them from throwing the ball enough for Berrian to get his numbers.

3. Grossman looks to him nearly every play.

4. The Bears schedule is a cake walk. I really can't see any type of performer struggling against these opponents.

@Arizona

bye

San Francisco

Miami

@N.Y. Giants

@N.Y. Jets

@New England

Minnesota

@St. Louis

Tampa Bay

@Detroit

Green Bay

I would like to hear the reasons that he won't keep it up.

No love for Joey Galloway?

He was top 10 last year with Brian Griese and Chris Simms at QB, neither of which are exactly "great". What if this Gradkowski kid pans out?

Top Ten:

1. Holt-unquestionable #1

2. S. Smith *move down if hammy acts up

3. DJAX -Having a nice come back year

4. Boldin - Could be the main man for up to 5 weeks

5. Harrison- Could move up higher if Payton gets on fire

6. Chad Johnson-Maybe has the most talent of the bunch

7. Driver- Hard nosed & under rated, & Jennings helps his numbers

8. L. Evans - Break out year, showing signs of getting stronger each of the past 3 weeks.

9. A. Johnson- One guy I think who could end up out of the top ten. Lack of running game could mean more pressure on Carr as the season goes on, plus Carr has to prove he can play good for a whole season.

10. Berrian-Stays in my top ten, mainly due to schedule, and his speed. Every year their is a break out WR, I think this guy is #1 and Jennings is #2.

Outside:

T.O. Head case who could end up missing time due to being suspended due to his mouth.

Chambers, has the talent, by o-line seems to of gone backwards in Fin-town.

Wayne - Indy scoring more RB TD's then I thought, I think he has a slight off year.
