Top 200 Valuation (1 Viewer)

First, I am a NOOB(in an establish experienced league) and in 1st place. I credit the information from this site and this forum for much of that success.

Second, I own Starks(he sits on my bench) and would love for him to absolutely turn it on during the last several weeks and FF playoffs.

He is currently valued as the #15 RB going forward(FBG top 200). Right behind CJ and in front of Mendenhall.

Honestly, Am I missing something here?... He sits on my bench. I watch him weekly and I don't see it.

There are a couple of other idiosyncratic rankings, but this one is most glaringly odd.

I have used the top 200 values to help navigate a mid-season multiplayer blockbuster trade(I traded Megatron) and was quite please with results.

The 2 questions are....

Is there something to see with Starks, that I am over looking?

For the future...How do people go about valuing players for large multi-player trades?

The more I think about it...the more I feel I may have done it wrong and gotten away with it.

With the FBGs top players moving forward list every week there are around a handful of players ranked much higher or much lower than I would expect. Starks has certainly been one of those players for a few weeks now, J. Stewart is another. But I chalk that up to personal opinion and welcome that opinion in the rankings. There are plenty of outlets of information that simply take a players average production and project his future performance. I like it when people at least try and predict performance outside of that narrow expectation.

As with all such data, look at it for what it is and use it along with any other information you can find to form your own opinion.

As far as Starks, I think the ranking is much too high and he likely should stay on your bench.

I was stunned to see Starks so high and Ryan Mathews so low this week. I think it was only a week ago that Mathews was ranked as RB6 and now he is hovering around RB20.

Roddy White has been ranked too high all year. Victor Cruz has been too low.

Laurent Robinson seems low, in comparison to Dez for sure.

Denarius Moore seems way too high after one game that included a couple of low percentage completions.

Jimmy Graham twice as valuable as Gronk? I don't see that.

Frank Gore seems a bit low, if you look at his recent scoring (last week not included). I guess the thought is that he will get rested down the stretch given the 49ers huge lead?

Just a couple of things that stood out to me. Not complaints, just observations.

In my PPR league, there are only a few guys lower than him that I would certainly rate as better going forward:

Turner-just on basis of touches and TD chances

Gore-even with injury

Mathews-produces even with injury and timeshare

The rest all have injury, timeshare, or other various concerns:

Reggie-was mediocre when Thomas was healthier

Mendenhall-until this past week has been continual dissapointment

Bradshaw-concerns over how long until he returns

Wells-injury and schedule

McGahee-injury concerns

Benson-wasn't putting up points before Scott got involved

Reasons to like Starks? Run schedule is pretty easy, getting a good % of carries, 3rd down back. Additionally, regression to the mean suggests that he will likely end up with more than 1-2 TDs, even with Kuhn/Rodgers getting GL looks.
