22. Deuce McAllister, New Orleans Saints

23. Ron Dayne, Denver Broncos

24. Joseph Addai, Indianapolis Colts

25. Laurence Maroney, New England Patriots

Keep in mind, these rankings are for PPR Leagues.

1. LaDainian Tomlinson, SD - If Rivers can produce, LT will be upgraded even more

2. Larry Johnson, KC - Stud will put up freaking huge numbers this season, assuming he has the durability to last 16 games

3. LaMont Jordan, OAK - Catches a lot of passes out of the backfield, hard runner

4. Tiki Barber, NYG - He does everything

5. Shaun Alexander, SEA - Scoring machine but doesn't catch a lot of passes

6. Brian Westbrook, PHI - Huge receiver out of the backfield, will be leaned on a lot as a safety valve because Greg Lewis and Reggie Brown won't get open

7. Clinton Portis, WAS - Had a strong last five games, proved that it wasn't just the Denver O-Line

8.Steven Jackson, StL - With Faulk assuming a much smaller role and a new coach who might be more committed to the run, Jackson will have a big year

9.Edgerrin James, ARI - The lack of a quality O-Line (Arizona was last in rushing offense, averaging 71.1 yds/game last season) will move Edge down the charts

10. Carnell Williams, TB - He had an outstanding rookie season, he'll only get better with time. However, Michael Pittman still seems to be getting his carries and Mike Alstott will continue vulturing goal line carries for at least one more season.

11. Rudi Johnson, CIN - The other Johnson in Cincinnati will get it done on the ground again this season

12. Ronnie Brown, MIA - Good rookie season, with Culpepper now in town he'll be a great pick

13. Willis McGahee, BUF - Disappointing last season, but he's putting a in ton of work in the offseason and he'll be ready come opening day

14. Reuben Droughns, CLE - With the signing of LeCharles Bentley, Droughns' value goes way up

15. Domanick Davis, HOU - Nagging Injuries

16. Thomas Jones, CHI - If he can reatin his starting job, he'll be a stud in a run-first offense. However, it looks like Chicago might be running a RRBC, in which case both Jones' and Benson's value will decrease sharply.

17. Deuce McAllister, NO - Has talent, Brees will open up the ground game for him

18. Corey Dillon, NE - After a down year he'll be looking to rebound in a big way

19. Warrick Dunn, ATL - A member of the top rushing attack in the NFL, always a consistent producer

20. Julius Jones, DAL - Went through a sophomore slump, will try to rebound in his third season. The signing of T.O. could bode VERY well for JJ

21. Willie Parker, PIT - Had a great season and with Bettis gone and not vulturing goal line carries, he'll be big

22. Fred Taylor, JAC - Fragile Freddy is moving down the charts

23. Tatum Bell/ Ron Dayne, DEN - With Anderson gone, Bell's value rises, but he'll still be competing with Dayne

24. Ahman Green/Samkon Gado/Najeh Davenport, GB - Whichever one gets the job/ stays healthy

25. Chester Taylor, MIN - A good talent in a system that should show him decent carries and opportunities.

The man everyone was eagerly anticipating was out on the field with his teammates Monday. Willis McGahee made his first appearance in an organized practice setting this offseason and settled right back into his top running back spot on the depth chart.

McGahee explained what he's been doing while away from the rest of his teammates.

"I've been working out in Miami doing everything down there," said McGahee. "I've been doing a lot of running and lifting weights in the heat."

The Bills fourth-year back has a personal trainer and his hard work was evident as Willis showed off a six pack of abs. He also admitted he was carrying less weight than he did in 2005, and hinted he may be even trimmer come training camp.

"I'm leaner and lighter," said McGahee. "I'm going to be even lighter when I come in (for training camp)."

Of course McGahee won't say how much lighter he is this season, but when asked by Buffalobills.com if he felt sluggish at times last season he offered the following.

"I did a little bit," he said. "I did. (Getting lighter) was just something I wanted to do. I had to switch it up."

Last season McGahee was often asked to push the pile as clean holes were infrequent in the running game. He felt the offensive staff tried to change his game a bit to make him more of a plow horse than a thoroughbred.

McGahee says he has no doubt that he is faster and believes he hasn't sacrificed any strength in being lighter.

"I'll get through (the hole)," he insisted. "I'll get through the hole a little quicker so I don't have to plow."

The Bills top back was frustrated with how he was used, or not used in the offense last season, but has put his full faith in new offensive coordinator Steve Fairchild.

"I'm not going to talk to coach Fairchild," said McGahee. "Coach Fairchild knows what he's doing so I'm not going to worry about it."

As far as the upcoming season is concerned McGahee is determined to improve upon last year's rushing numbers (1,247 yards).

"I want to do better than I did last year," he said.

For Bush and McAllister to finish #19 and #22, respectively, both RB's will probably need to combine for 1800 rushing yards (for reference, last year's #19 and #22 rushers combined for 1800 yards). Initially, I thought your ranking of both was wishful thinking, but I really think N.O. has the outside chance of producing two Top-20 fantasy RB's this year.

I honestly don't know how well McAllister will recover. He's taken two harsh injuries to the same ankle area, that's gotta hurt him in terms of his ability to cut. I honestly think that this will be a true RBBC.

You have 2 Saint runningbacks and Ron Dayne who will split carries in the top 25 but no Kevin Jones? I hope it was just an oversight.

I know he's had a high-ankle sprain, but his "harsh" injury was his torn ACL......in his knee.

I wouldn't trust an article calling McGahee "the Bills' fourth-year back" too much.
He's coming into his fourth year. NFL.com has his "NFL Experience" at 4 years.http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/396170

#21 Willis McGahee

Position: RB

Height: 6-0

Weight: 228

Born: 10/21/1981

College: Miami (Fla.)

NFL Experience: 4
Hmm no.2004,2005 and he's about to play 2006.

Bah, was only looking at stats. It's his fourth NFL seasons but he didn't play in 2003.

Selected by the Bills in the first round of the 2003 Draft with the 23rd overall selection…the Bills obtained the pick from the Atlanta Falcons in a trade on 3/7/03 for franchise-tagged free agent WR Peerless Price.

Chester Taylor at #25 in a PPR league? Way too low imo...should be top 15, the guy will be a steal.

I'd like to note, you're putting too much emphasis on the receptions in some of those rankings, ppr or not.

In one league:

1 point per reception

1 point per 20 yards rushing

1 point per 20 yards receiving

6 points per td

-2 point per fumble lost

Alexander outdid Jordan by 66 poionts. Thats more than 4 points per game. I just can't see Jordan outdoing him.

The fact that people continue to not list Jamal Lewis in their top 25 makes me think he may be the biggest 'sleeper' pick of the year.

you were golden , up until this point!how the heck does lamont jordan finish in the top 10 in a non-ppr league?!?!?!

3.8 per carry, barely 1,000 yards last year with Norv Turner calling plays...now he has Art Shell as HC , a guy who hasn't coached in what, 10 years now, right? and his offensive coordinator hasn't coached since 1994 if I'm not mistaken, right?

you saw what happened to Joe Gibbs when he returned to Washington ? the Redskins offense was stagnant and struggled mightily during his first year back as head coach.I'd expect the same from Art Shell only worse...the game has changed tremendously since he last coached..

I think Moss will open up the field a little more for him this year, which will increase his ypc. Having now had a year as the feature back, I think he has a decent chance to make it through the 16 games w/o missing two games. The difference between rb 7 and 13, isn't that much for me this year.

Not saying anything about rankings, but I am very wary of the following RBs this season (redraft):

1) Tiki Barber -- he was great most of last season, but he is yet another year older. The transition from top RB to aging, mediocre RB is historically very steep -- I'll be glad if I get him, but not in the first round in my book.

2) Steven Jackson -- this guy was superb in the first half of last season, then it all went downhill. Hasn't held the load of a full season on his shoulders, and if he can't bring it during the fantasy playoffs then I don't want him on my team. (Tradebait)

3) LaMont Jordan -- he was the entire Raiders offense last season, but don't realistically expect an increased performance now that the passing game might actually take a share of the yardage. Jordan is a great RB2 in my book.

4) Brian Westbrook -- injury fest 2006 is my best guess. He's back to being the only real weapon the eagles have, and that will ultimately spell trouble for this oft-injured back.

5) Dom Davis -- i absolutely love this guy. Seriously. but injuries are again a big big concern. risk vs. reward for most of us, i like to minimize my risk with RBs.

6) Willie Parker -- he had 10 games last year averaging under 3.5 yards per carry. he had some breakout runs in other games which greatly boosted his ypc and total fantasy numbers, but i can't see him consistently busting out 20+ yard runs without taking a big bruising.

7) Baltimore RB, Denver RB, New Orleans RB situation -- big question marks of RBBC on all three teams. If you can own the entire RBBC, great. If you don't think you can do that in your league, stay away!
