1. Steve Smith, CAR - Showed his talents, deserves the number one spot

2. Terrell Owens, DAL - Will put up outstanding numbers this year with Bledsoe throwing to him, Glenn on the other side, and Julius Jones running the ball. Just wait and see.

3. Darrell Jackson, SEA - DJAX will absolutely tear it up this season. You'll see.

4. Chad Johnson, CIN - Has one of the best QB's in the league throwing to him, he'll produce big time

5. Larry Fitzgerald, ARI - He's a big Red Zone threat and the addition of Edge into the mix should spell big points for Fitz

6. Anquan Boldin, ARI - Not as much of a Red Zone threat as Fitzgerald but they're about equal

7. Marvin Harrison, IND - Always plays at such a high level, he'll dominate quietly again next year

8. Torry Holt, StL - Gets a lot of catches, he'll put up big numbers

9. Santana Moss, WAS - Though diminutive in size, not diminutive in speed. He'll blow by DB's for another great season

10. Randy Moss, OAK - The signing of Brooks could be good for Moss and Porter

11. Hines Ward, PIT - So consistent

12. Chris Chambers, MIA - Now with Culpepper he could move into the Top 5. I'm really high on this guy.

13. Donald Driver, GB - Consistently, yet quietly, puts up good numbers and as the #1 this year he should produce big time

14. Joey Galloway, TB - Speed kills, and he'll show Michael Clayton up again next year

15. Roy Williams, DET - Kitna behind center is much better than Harrington, so Williams has an outside chance to be a top 10 receiver this year

16. TJ Houshmandzadeh, CIN - A great compliment to Johnson, he'll get his

17. Plaxico Burress, NYG - Stepped up pretty well in his Giants' debut, he'll be a good deep threat next year

18. Muhsin Muhammad, CHI - If Grossman can stay healthy Moose will put up better numbers next season

19. Reggie Wayne, IND - Great hands and he runs awesome routes

20. Rod Smith, DEN - Getting old, if he comes back next year he'll produce at about the same level

21. Andre Johnson, HOU - Should bounce back from a bad season and get the ball more with an upgraded O-Line

22. Drew Bennett, TEN - With McNair returning and the emergence of Brandon Jones as a bonified WR2, Bennett could have a better year with less pressure from DB's

23. Koren Robinson, MIN - A guy with top talent still getting back on his feet. He's got a good chance to be a Top 15 WR this year

24. Derrick Mason, BAL - His numbers aren't what they could be due to poor QB play

25. Javon Walker, DEN - Complimenting Rod Smith should open up the field for Walker, and assuming that he's healthy, he'll be a good option at WR2

10. Anquan Boldin, Cardinals

13. Larry Fitzgerald, Cardinals
Just wondering... why do you have Boldin and Fitz both so low?
Cardinals will probably win more this season, so they won't be needing to air the ball out as much. Last year, they allowed 46 TDs against them, but most of their offense ... ok ... ALL of their offense was in the passing game. What held them back was their inability to control the clock using the running game with Shipp and Arrington, who had 451 and 370 yards each and a total of 2 TDs between them. This year, Edgerrin James provides a very real rushing threat. They WILL use him, and they'll be able to stay close even when losing. That translates to less overall passing and less stats to go around (ie - Fitz and Boldin won't get 1400 yards each. More than likely Fitz will see less yardage but more TDs and Boldin will be the primary yardage man with slightly less TDs)

I can't see them suffering too much, thus they're both in the top 15. But I also can't see another 650 passing attempts this year either (Arizona averaged over 40 attempts per game last season!) ...

Mason caught 86 balls with Boller at QB..thats how good he is..like most of the others who posted their lists, Mason should be near the top ten.IMO, he should be IN the top 10..he could finish with 90+ receptions ( only 5 more than last year) and triple his TD output to 9 tds..

The Ravens offense might finally get things rolling in 2006..they can open up the play book and allow McNair to throw more than Boller, thats for sure..

One guy who may be flying under the radar here (I have not seen him on ANYBODIES list) is Jabbar Gaffney. Here's a guy who's put up halfway decent numbers his entire career with a team who couldn't protect a QB long enough for him to hit his breaks. Now, he's on a team with other weapons (BUT NOT strong ones at reciever), arguably one of the best QB's in the game, and most importantly, a solid O-Line...How can he NOT succeed?

He's probably not worthy of a top ten or fifteen slot, as the Birds will spread the ball around a bit, but certainly he'll be on the fringes of any list like this, and has the potential to break into the top ten.

14. Joey Galloway, TB - Speed kills, and he'll show Michael Clayton up again next year
I don't mean to homerly criticize just you... but this is a terrible rating. Not only will he be another year older and see a noticable decline in his numbers, but his production last year was a direct result of Clayton's injuries (just as Clayton's were the year before to Galloway's). He might crack 1000 yards, but he won't be the TD monster he was because old age is catching up to him.Whoever drafts him as their fringe #1 receiver will likely lose their league because of it.

Not to mention this offense is going to breathe Cadillac Williams, and the passing game will look similar to NE's passing game of late + a new H-Back formation with Alstott / Rookie TEs.

Hope this helps, but I would consider Galloway much closer to the "startable/decent #2 WR" this year with very, very limited upside. He's not going to dominate games like he did last year.

Right now, he is very overvalued, and people consider his real value a "steal," when in fact it is only marginal value.

14 is definitely a reach for Galloway, and he certainly doesn't belong in that 2nd tier of receivers, but more to the middle of the third tier.

Hope this helps clear up your rankings a bit.

It wasn't I that ranked Moulds at 19, but just to give my input. Like this stat or not, its true, maybe just be coincidence, maybe not, and I understand he is getting a little older (33). But since 1997, every odd year (1997,1999,2001,2003,2005) Moulds has had less than 1,000 yards receiving (294,994,904,780,816), and every even year (1998,2000,2002,2004), he has had over 1,000 yards receiving (1368, 1326,1292, 1043). This is 2006, so its been true every year so far since his rookie year, will it again?

:goodposting: Last year was an abberation. I believe it was only the second time in recent history where 2 wrs from the same team had >100 catches. With a more balanced offense it will revert to the mean.

smart money has these guys cancelling each other out.
A better offense and more consistant running game ALSO provides more opportunities to extend drives. I for one do not think the drop-off from production for these two will be as significant as everyone seems to be predicting.
