Top 3 Guys in 2014 with ADP Outside of 60 (1 Viewer)

I'm not touching a rookie TE with a 10 foot pole
Jordan Cameron and Julius Thomas say hi.

I love drafting with guys who stick with 1990's philosophies in the 2010's NFL.
What did these 2 do in their rookie years that impressed you so much?
You must be hard to impress. Cameron had 6 catches for 33 yards in his rookie year. And although Thomas had only one reception for 5 yards in his rookie year, he did have 7 targets. lol
:lmao:

what is the reasoning behind Hyde? hoping for a Gore injury? why not just take Gore, the odds are more in favor of him staying healthy than getting seriously injured
Gore is going in the early/mid 4th.

Hyde is going in the early/mid 8th.

I'd rather roll the dice with Ryan Mathews than Gore (same ADP) or take one of the WR's going near there (especially Roddy White). The opportunity cost of Hyde is much lower.

I don't think Gore needs to be seriously injured for Hyde to be worth having. Time will tell.
I'm not seeing Gore go that high. Hyde is going 8 RB picks after Gore per mfl adp. Gore went at 6.2 in our 14 team league of experienced FBGs.

this is a little crazy. Gore is the clear starter, that is great value for him and Hyde is being massively overdrafted

They are going to pace him to ensure that he makes it to the post season relatively healthy. Gore will cap out at around 200 touches this year with Hyde picking up most of what's left. If Gore gets dinged Hyde's number will go way up.

Jordan Reed says hi though.
Jordan Reed as a rookie: TE22

Do you want to draft TE22 in a 12 team start 1 TE league? I don't.

Thats not really a fair comparision... obviously he wasn't in lineups the several weeks he was out injured. The weeks he started, he was a top 12 TE.

Was he?

I'm seeing 9 games played averaging 7.5 FPPG (standard)...but 19.4 of those points in one game where you probably didn't start him because 5.8 points was his career high week to that point. 6 FPPG average in the other 8 games.

But of course looking back with hindsight it's easy to cherry pick a single player who is an exception to the rule...it's much more difficult to expect a rookie entering the league to match or beat. How many TE's have met or exceeded Reed's rookie season in PPG?

I think reed will be pretty average. I think djax playing there hurts him and garcon

The last 4 games before he got injured, Reed put up 27 receptions, 323 yards catching, 18 yards rushing, and 2 TDs. That was a solid stretch. I remember because I was using him on FanDuel a lot during that time. He broke down obviously, but that prorates to about a 1300 yard, 8 TD season. Which would've been good for TE3 last year.

I would argue quite the opposite. The targets that the likes of Aldrick Robinson and Leonard Hankerson will go to DeSean, who on a lot of their routes, were fly routes. I see the Skins using DeSean in a lot of deep routes to allow the underneath routes that Reed will run along with Garcon. I see Reed putting up solid numbers this year, probably around TE5-8 numbers.

gores ppr adp from fbg is 62. his adp from fpc is 71. in the 7 fpc drafts ive seen hes gone 84, 67, 61, 83, 67, 62, 77. not in the 4th round. often enough in the 7th round. of 12 teamers.

I'm sure he goes later in PPR than in standard leagues.
