I suppose I should finish a top 5. I don't feel strongly about other bands though...

pearl jam? Public Enemy? The Ramones? The Dead? I don't particularly care that strongly about any of them. I'd rather blast some hair metal or Faith No More.

Beach Boys are in.

Metallica is in.

CCR is in.

And as much as I dont like 'em, Greatful Dead is probably in.

Aerosmith? Van Halen? Grand Funk? Journey?

What about some rap groups that make their own music/beats like NWA or Wutang?

i'm not sure who is exactly 1-5 - but The Mavericks are definitely one of those 5. Just saw them destroy at Jazzfest for second year in a row.

Clearly the case. Not even remotely close to top 5 though.

Gotta give support to Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers.

Not only do they have several great albums and songs.....they are a sick live act. I have seen them 3 times......and everytime has been amazing. These guys are harder and jam far more than their albums would lead you to believe.

Fantastic band.
