Maybe, who would you have ranked higher? Houston? Denver? Baltimore? You could make arguments for those teams but they lost to my NO.1 team in the AFC in the Patriots and today they lost to my NO.2 team on the road in Green Bay. Green Bay could actually be NO.1 in the NFC, so who knows.Although I could listen to an argument to them not being in the top 5, I still feel comfortable saying they're better than Houston, Denver and Baltimore.
The Chargers have looked far too awful so far. Honestly, I would put Houston in there instead of SD...RIGHT NOW. Houston is 2-1, won at Carolina by double digits and barely lost at home to the Colts today despite not having Andre Johnson and Ahman Green for the majority of the game.
If Houston and the Texans are really two of the top five teams in the AFC, then the Colts deserve serious credit for beating both of them on the road in back to back weeks, even if they were close games.

Well, the Indy loss was a little misleading. They were down like 27-10 and got some back door points. Indy was never really in jeopardy of losing that game although it got closer than what they wanted. It usually does when you go into playing pass prevent.I don't have a huge issue with Houston being No.5. I think SD would beat them on a neutral field but you never know.

I totally agree. I think the Pats are getting a ton of credit for the amount of points they are winning by.......but what's going untalked about is two HUGE wins by the Colts on the road. Those were tough games in Tennessee and Houston. Those were two young talented teams that wanted Indy's butt on a platter and they held them off. With that said, the Pats have looked so smooth they're at the top in my book, with the Colts right behind them with two tough road wins behind their back.
