If you are at that spot in the draft where no one sexy is left and you go to the handcuff scenario, who are your top 5?

Jones/Benson

Bell/Dayne

Lewis/Anderson

Davis/My Addidas

Jones/Barber

You'd probably want to give strong consideration to;

Portis/Betts (you know with Gibbs as HC & Suanders as OC the Skins will have a strong ground game).

Dunn/Duckett (Falcons - Two years in a row as the NFL's #1 rushing Offense).

Rhodes/Addai (Can't ignore Indy's running game)

Bush/McAllister (I figure the Saints to be a good rushing team this year with Brees as their QB)

I'm speaking mainly as an LT owner, but I can't think of anyone more important than Michael Turner.

To me, he's the one guy that would prevent the least amount of dropoff from an injured stud's production level.

ETA: I'm not sure if you meant RBBC handcuffs of handcuffing your stud (i.e., backup).

Those are good but I am talking about not obvious stars and 1 back teams. the ones where it is splittsville.Meant to quote the LT post

Then definitely; Dunn/Duckett (Falcons - Two years in a row as the NFL's #1 rushing Offense).

Agreed on the rest.

TJones/Benson

Bell/Dayne

Foster/Williams

Bush/McAllister

&

L. Johnson/D. Brown

Someone else is going to have to carry the rock in Kansas City. The backup will probably get approx 100-150 carries cause KC will run about 500 times.

edit: I am assuming two things here with your question. 1) Handcuff implies a late-round flyer (10+) can land the backup, and 2) the guy you getting the handcuff to is actually the starter. All three of those are backwards.

For me:

1) Rudi/Perry

2) Davis/Morency

3) Portis/Betts

4) LT/Turner

5) Martin/Washington

I believe Perry/Morency/Washington can put up numbers near or equal to their incumbents, and Betts/Turner can put up very solid numbers.

Perry/Morency - Fringe RB1/solid RB2.

Betts/Turner/Washington - startable/fringe RB2.

Atlanta ranked 12th and 11th the past two seasons in FPs by RBs.
Not only that, but Duckett is not even assured the backup spot. WHile it may be offseason fluff, I think the coaches are going to give the ball to Norwood more - upside, future and the fact that Duckett is in his last year of his contract.

These are more RBBC's than they are handcuffs. In terms of pure cuffs I think Betts, Turner, Perry, and Dee Brown or Priest probably sit near the top right now. Michael Bennett would be another name if he ends up in StL, if not then perhaps Tony Fisher.

People have been saying that for years. Maybe he'll get a chance to finally show what he's got, but he hasn't impressed all that much in limited time.
