After reading your title, I think it warrants mention that the best cornerbacks are quite often not major contributors in IDP leagues.

Another vote for Asomugha and Revis being the top two, however.

This is VERY important if you are asking for IDP purposes.However, if you are asking for WR matchup purposes:Avoid Asomugha (OAK), Revis (NYJ) and Hall (CIN). With care when going up against Winfield (MIN).

I don't believe there are top 5 shutdown corners. But if I have to name 5

1. Asomugha

2. Revis

3. Bailey

4. Hall

5. Mathis

Honorable mentions.. Talib, Winfield.

Editing before this thread gets out of hand with CB's names... I think the "Shutdown" list should end with Aso, Revis, Bailey... after that they are just some pretty good corners.

Corey Wesbter deserves some respect
