Top DT's (1 Viewer)

I was wondering what your guys opinions are for who are the top DT's for fantasy purposes. I am in a 20 Team Dynasty IDP league that starts an entire defense. I usually run a 3-4, but I had to cut ties with a couple of my LB's in the offseason, so I am looking to move to a 4-3 this year. Any advice?

These guys are already on rosters:

N. Suh

Kelly Gregg

Gerald McCoy

Brian Price

Jared Odrick

Jonathan Babineaux (P)

Brandon Meabane

Jat Ratliff

Mike Patterson

Terrence Cody

So excluding those guys, which DT's should I be looking out for?

Shaun Rogers - CLE. He has been a top-10 DLineman in the past (2 years ago), and is usually good for high tackle numbers.

Randy Starks - MIA. He was converted from DE last season, and rumors are that Miami plans to use him in a Ratliff-like role. He is still listed as DE on MFL, but should be switched over before the start of the season to DT, as that is where Rotoworld has him.

Kyle Williams - BUF. He was the #1 DT scorer in my league last season. They are switching to a 3-4, so it remains to be seen if he can duplicate those results this season.

Rogers will move to DE and may face suspension so to me Ahtyba Rubin is a good option you can get late as he will stay at NT. If Rubin gets the same number of snaps as Rogers did last year, he should be a top 10 DT pretty easily. In fact, I have him projected top 5 because that is where I think he would finish if his snaps aligned with what Rogers got, but that is based on my scoring system that gives a bump in tackles, assists, and sacks for DT.

For reference, Rogers had 569 snaps and Rubin had 358 snaps.

I like the Starks call. His stats could mirror what Jay Ratliff has been able to do in a similar scheme.

Jason Jones was super-productive in his few games last season. May not be the best DT1 in a tackle-heavy setup, but certainly worth monitoring or rostering as a high upside DT2.

But I like Haloti Ngata here. I think he's much more likely to return to his prior 40+ solo output than repeat last season's mediocre numbers.

Does Dockett have DT eligibility? Check it out in your league.

I have always been a fan of Tony Brown. Same with his partner Jason Jones.

Yes Dockett has DT eligibility, but he will probably go before my pick. Ty Warren also has DT eligibility.

Randy Starks looks like a solid pick and I like Rubin later. Also have my eye on Jason Jones. We have two Ravens fans in the league, so Ngata may go too soon for me.

One of our guys had Daniel Muir last year and that's all he talks about. He will probably grab him before round 3.

Our league is set up where grabbing solid Defensive players is just as important as grabbing offense. By Comparison, Chris Johnson (RB) had about 400 points last year. Patrick Willis was close to 325.

Solid list guys! Thanks

Corey Williams DET. He was utterly miscast in Cleveland as a 3-4 DE, but will now be surrounded by talent (Suh, Vanden Bosch) and back playing in a position where he put up 26 solos, 7 sacks, 3FF in GB's rotation just a few years ago.
