Top Guys You're Worried About Week 15 (1 Viewer)

Footballguy Jr.
Below is a list of guys I am really scared of putting up duds tomorrow/Mon. I have to start them. If I lose starting these guys, it is what it is... If I lose starting Gerhart, Todman, & other WW gems, I'll prob stop playing FF. Any others that should be added to below?

Brandon Marshall - I might be the only Marsh owner who is actually more worried having Cutler back. If McCown stays at QB, there is a shot Haden follows Jeffrey, don't see it that way with Cutler in. Also, Jay has played one game in 2 months. Can't sit him, but very nervous!

Eddie Lacy - No Rodgers, again!! Box will be stacked & how will his ankle hold up? Plus McCarthy said "I'm not scared to give James 20 carries" earlier this week Comment was made during a press conference, but the probable tag and Lacy's comments ease my mind a little, still worried Starks eats in and Flynn helps sink the ship. Can't sit him, but kinda nervous.

Dez Bryant - Ugghhh!!! Where to begin??? Is this going to be another week that he is out targeted by Cole Beasley & Sam Hurd? Will the Cowboys just hand it to their RBs 50x? Does Romo look his way? Does he just line up wide left and run up the sideline all day? On paper, matchup looks great, but quite a few have already that didn't work out well so far this season. Can't sit him, but very nervous!

Reggie Bush - read what I just posted in the Bush thread if you own him... Very nervous!!

Wo else should be on this list?

Call me crazy but I have a good feeling about Dez Bryant for some reason. He's definitely due for a big game and I think the Packer's defense could be ripe for a breakout performance by him.

The game plan was absolutely atrocious last week, especially when they were trailing big. So if DAL coaches have half a brain, they will get Dez involved early. I could see the crowd turning on them awfully quickly if they play offense like they did last week..

Top guy may be a stretch but one of the reasons i'm in the playoffs is Andre Brown. Playing against the Seahawks defense worries me along with Hillis getting the goal line carries. Oh...and his QB is Eli.

All reasons i'm worried.

I'm I'm the same boat with Brown. I'm sticking with him though because the Hawks pass D is close to unbreakable so the Giants will have to run. They are only 20tb against the run I believe & this game is in NJ. Brown will see plenty of touches. Not easy to find these days.

That leads me into my biggest worry: CJ Spiller. I'm rolling with him over Ben Tate after his absolute clunker last week. HOU is a mess right now. Bills aren't much better but Spiller has thr talent to break one touch off 80 yards for a TD. Bills are planning on really limiting offense for Manuel after his implosion in TB so I'm hoping that means plenty of CJ & FJax.

Its a risky play for sure but I have to win this week. I have plenty of WR depth (Mega, Gordon, Dez) to gamble on a boom or bust back like Spiller

Peterson, almost prefer if he's out. Have to start him if he plays but he could dud easily.

Not sure it was just the game plan. Marshall said that before the game there were a lot of Bear receivers and others on the field "warming" up - and there were a handful of Dallas players. Marshal said they knew they had that game then.

Pitta starting to worry me. As was said in his thread, no news on him this week seems very odd and has me worrying that he's not okay after his workload.

Not a lot of options for us precious gronk owners and hard to wait on pitta for Monday night.

Opportunity is there to grab Pettigrew or Fauria if need be.

Vincent Jackson has me worried today.

But with Chris Johnson being my only other option I have to go with the less of two evils.

Dez owners have been saying this for the better part of 2 months now. The coaches/Romo have made it clear getting the ball to Dez is not a priority. Just watch the games, and see the same routes, same alignments, no creativity. They'd rather ride the back of DeMarco Murray

Rolling with Lacy, Bush and Andre Brown in one league. Saying that I'm worried would be a major understatement. And my opponent has Lesean McCoy. Would not be surprised at all to see McCoy outscore all 3 of my RB's combined.

Alfred Morris. I don't trust Shanny and he may have Cousins throw 50 times today just to prove a point. Alos Atl offense has been playing better lately and I could see another game where Skins get down early. Starting Zac Stacy over him today.

Fred Jackson as a RB2 has me totally hung up.
I don't know if this helps but Marrone & Hackett (OC) came out and said this week they will be simplifying things for EJ after his atrocious performance last week in TB.

I'm hoping that means a lot FJax & Spiller on the ground and some short passes thrown their way.

JAX offense is ravaged by injuries (MJD & Shorts are out) so I can't see them controlling the time of possession. I'm thinking FJax and Spiller should see 15 touches a piece in this game

Andre Brown was the guy I thought of when I saw this thread title as well.

I seriously considered going with one of the backups-turned-starters of the week (Todman, Ogby) over him, but the more I thought about it, the more I decided to stick with him. His matchup isn't great, but at least he's at home, and he really hasn't put up a total clunker yet since returning *knock on wood*. Ogby and Todman could do well... but they could just as easily get 8 carries for 20 yards. I'd have to think Brown, even in a bad game, would do much better than that.

Exactly. He will see touches; there is no doubt about that. SEA pass defense is close to unbeatable but their run defense has been less then average; they are also on the road and playing in cold weather. You can almost bank on Brown getting 18-20 touches in this game & hopefully a few goal-line looks.

Hopefully he can do what he did to WAS: Mediocre yardage but had 2 scores: 14 carries for 35 yards but the 2 scores made it a very nice performance.

Thanks for the info, appreciate it.

Worried about Andre Brown myself… in a little hole after Thursday night, and a dud from one of my starters will end it for me.

Other option is Ace Sanders in a full PPR… completely torn.

Dez -- will crap the bed as usual

Lacy -- gimpy

Garcon -- not a top player, but I'm wondering if he can even get to the low bar of 5/40 that he's been giving us for weeks

*AHEM*

11 rec / 153 yds / 1 TD

He is too talented to be held down like he has the past past few weeks.

Did you see his TD grab? Romo finally trusted him and put the ball up for him in the endzone and he made a outstanding catch. Can't believe he got both feet in catch the ball thru the CB who was pushing him out of bounds

His 34.3 points in PPR are single handily saving my week. It's his best game of the season and I really f****** needed it.

I don't know what you're being smug about. Look at the stats/gamelogs for the 2 months leading up to the awesome game he had today.

Congratulations, you saved the OP from catching flack on par with the guy that warned that Peyton manning would struggle in the cold.

Yeah, I have that coming. But honestly, how much faith could people have for those 3 coming into today? I'm not complaining, I'll take it obviously

Yeah. Just joking around. I think most people with those guys probably rolled them out for lack of better options but the question marks were there, for sure.
