Top QB of the week.....Big Ben? (1 Viewer)

Don't want to give away premium content so I'll be vague but -

Anyone see that Big Ben is ranked awfully high this week over some monster QBs? I know TB gave up the 5 TD passes to Romo but are they that bad? I mean Pitt OL looked terrible last week and there is no Ward - not sure how he is ranked that high.

Maybe I'm missing something - I have Ben in a must win game and wasn't considering starting him over either Hass and/or Kitna - both who have terrible matchups.

Anyone out there support this high ranking of Ben this week - better yet - whose going with him and over which other QBs?

I thought the same exact thing. How anyone can rank him that high is beyond me. I thought about it and thought about it, but can't come up with one good reason that overrated bum gets rated that high. Unless I missed something Hines Ward is not playing. Dodds must have been drinking heavily last night.

Maybe we can get some info from Dodds or the staff on it - as I said I had Big Ben in a must win game and never thought to start him!

Like to hear why they think he is a stud this week - maybe I can be swayed!

maybe because he is playing a Tampa team that gave up 5 TD passes to Tony Romo and Dallas last game and have looked generally terrible against the pass lately and add to the fact that the Steelers were shut out last week and probably have some pent up frustration they are gonna take out on TB

Is that enough for you to go with him over every QB in the league that is not named Brees? Some bad matchups out there Hass vs Denver; Palmer v. Balt; Kitna v. NE. etc - I assume that is responsible for the ranking - but that high?

I wouldn't rank him that high but I do think he's going to do well this week - even without Ward. The Bucs are not a good team at all.

However, I think the Steeler who's going to have the best fantasy day this week is Willie Parker. I can see him very easily shredding the Bucs.

Big Ben does do well against ####ty pass defenses. Besides, FF involves putting togethor more facts than "what happened last week".

I agree - I am starting Parker without reservation but never thought to start Ben too - that would be a gutsy move that could make or break a week IMO. Tough matchups for a lot of QBs this week - that may be the kind of move that is needed though
