Top RB for PPR Leagues (1 Viewer)

For those of you who believe in the Madden Curse and Sean Alexander can't be your number 1 overall. . . how do you rank this year's crop of RB production.

:boxing:

Here is my top 10 ranked by total FP in a PPR league.

1. Larry Johnson

2. LT2

3. Tiki Barber

4. Sean Alexander (Madden cover and lost the Super bowl? Ain't happening this year!)

5. Kevin Jones

6. Clinton Portis

7. Brian Westbrook

8. Lamont Jordan

9. Rudi Johnson

10. Stephen Jackson

You had me until 5. :X

Pretty good list except for KJ and Rudi. KJ should certainly improve over last year's numbers and Martz may even use him in the passing game but I still wouldn't trust him as a RB1 in a PPR league. Rudi is definitely RB1 material in non-PPR but in PPR he is an average RB2. Chris Perry will probably be used even more this year and he was a great RB3 when healthy last year.

Ronnie Brown worries me. Okay, so maybe I am dreaming with Kevin Jones, but I rated Westbrook so low because of two reasons. . . 1. injury-prone and 2. Buchalter is back this year and the Philly offense is a question mark.

If you say this every year you may eventually be right... he's back until he gets hurt again.

Oh the top ten!

No guarantees in this league. Injury = chance. Success = injury + potential + opportunity.

Shaun is the safest.

Larry is the craziest.

LT is the warrior.

Hmm...

I have pick #3. Portis anyone...???

I have #5 and I am considering moving down in my 12 team league. . . beyond the top 3 its a crap shoot. I would rather have two picks closer together, than to do what I did last year at #5 and draft Deuce Deuce McAllister and follow that up with Culpepper in the second round.

Ouch!

I've got #2 in a PPR. It's a pretty safe bet I'm taking a RB with the first initial "L".

Got some weird names on there and missing some big ones. For example, did you mean to leave Portis off your list?

1 - LT2

2 - LJ

3 - Salex

4 - Barber

5 - Portis

6 - S.Jax

7 - Edge

8 - Westbrook

9 - Jordan

10 - Dom Davis

11 - Caddy

12 - Ron Brown
:goodposting: Very solid list.

I would swap Edge and SJax

And maybe Ron Brown and Dom Davis.

You are correct - I SHOULD have considered Portis
Any others you think you should have considered?
Any others that YOU think I should have considered??
Maybe ALexander should be considered in a top fifteen PPR list

Alexander, Caddy (even though I am not a fan), Kevin Jones (not a fan), or Dunn. These RBs should be "considered" above some of the ones listed. I applaud you for stepping out of the box, but sometimes the box is good.

Rudi Johnson is not a good receiver for Cin. Perry is. His role as 3rd down back requires him to be a good receiver. Last year he had 51 receptions with 2 of those for a touchdown.Deangelo is one of my longshots. He has been a solid receiver and I am hoping that will carry over.
