Torry Holt (1 Viewer)

Torry Holt has been money in the bank but he has slowed down the stretch the past two seasons. Maybe it's nothing but he's no longer a top-top tier WR imo.

Not true. In 05 his second half was better than the first and the entire season was on his career avg.In 06 he was dealing with injuries and overall didnt have a T Holt year.Im glad he had surgury, maybe he will be the T Holt we know

I think Jake is trying to sandbag an owner in a league he's in who owns Holt in the hope he can get Holt at a reduced price.

Nah, the owner who has Holt is too smart to get sandbagged. :lmao: Just watching Holt play he seemed to be a step slow the last few games. Maybe all it was is this injury, but I thought I noticed the same thing last season as well. I'm not saying Holt isn't a #1 FF WR, just that I would no longer draft him in the beginning to middle of the 2nd round in a redraft or pay a huge superstar price to acquire him at this point of his career.

this is the obvious reason why he slowed down this season...

He was off to a monster start then something happened.

Holt is still a top 3 WR next season...

safeties playing deep and LB's drifting back, which infact resulted in Jackson getting a ton of underneath action. that's what happened

I think many expected Linehan to continue the same target distribution as Martz had. Let's remember that Steven Jackson had 90 catches, which is incredible. So, Jackson had 90 catches, Holt had 90, Bruce had 74, and Curtis had 40 receptions. That is pretty good spreading the ball around. Jackson was ultra-productive this season and got a ton of touches. In addition to the 90 catches, Jackson had 346 carries. I think the more rush attempts and fewer pass attempts than previous years is one reason for a decrease in Holt's production.

Here are the stats for 2006:
