Torry Holt's Rehab (1 Viewer)

Per ESPN fantasy player page:

Holt apparently has suffered some swelling in his surgically repaired knee, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Spin: This is the first time any information has come out of Rams camp suggesting Holt's had any kind of setback in his rehab. We don't think it's serious but it's definitely something to be aware of. Said Holt, "It has its good days; it has its bad days. There's been swelling in there that I have to continue to control. There's still some tenderness in there. So if I can manage that, I'll be all right."

RotoWire | Sun, August 26

I wasn't able to verify this anywhere on the St. Louis Post Dispatch website, but this has "Questionable" for the entire season written all over it.

Not a hi-jack attempt but this Holt knee situation and his not playing in pre-season has me wondering even more why McMichael and Bulger have not been hooking up. I'm guessing the OL is not getting it done pass blocking and McMichael is having to stay in and block. Holt has to play or STL is going to be the biggest team bust in FF from an offensive standpoint, IMO of course.

I wouldn't worry about it. Ok maybe a little. He had surgery and the knee tends to swell from time to time. I remember Javon Walker knee was swelling in TC last season he turned out alright.

Keep an eye on Holt (especially if he's dropping in drafts) but don't panic.

I watched some of the Stl-Oak game and it seemed like Bulger was running for his life on virtually every play. I was relieved to see Bulger get out of the game alive.

Bulger has never hooked up with his TE.

Seriously, I don't know why the Ike Bruce bandwagon is so full lately. The guy had 3 TDs last season, and he's 87 years old.BFD.

Please stop it.
:lmao: Sarcasm, right? He turns 35 in November. Last year was possibly his best year since 2001 - his 14.8 ypc was his best since 2001, and close to his career average of 15.1. He hasn't been a TD stud for several years, but he's a valid #2 or certainly #3 WR ...particularly if Holt is out.

Because he has 8 1000-yard seasons under his belt, including last year, and his ADP is somewhere around WR40.Isaac Bruce has never played 16 games and failed to reach 1000 yards in his entire career. Those of us in yardage leagues are very, very high on him.

Kevin Curtis is being drafted ahead of him, and his best season was 801 yards and 6 tds, averaging 13.3 yards per catch in the same offense. Bruce was getting 14.8 yards per catch last year.

Devery Henderson is being drafted ahead of him, and he has less yardage in his career than Bruce had last year.

Vincent Jackson is being drafted ahead of him, and he has less than half of the yardage in his career that Bruce had last year.

For the price of Joe Horn (whose ADP is only a few away) you can get a guy who is virtually guaranteed to get 1000 yards receiving if he stays healthy. AND his upside this year is virtually unlimited if Holt is still seriously hurt. TDs will be throw in St. Louis. If Holt isn't there to catch them, Bruce will get some of the extras.

Very :link: How can you be down on Bruce when he finished last year with 1098 yards, 74 rec's, in my draft someone took Boston before I took Bruce with my last pick. If Holt misses time Bruces value only increases. Now some may say Boston has more upside, I don't know if some people think Garica is an upgrade over Bulger, but aleast Bruce can stay awake.

Actually passed on him in 2 different drafts for Chad Johnson because of his knee.
that limb you are going out on is about 3 feet thicki have not seen Chad go after Holt in ANY draft in the last two years

That was 200 FP in my league last year...and I stole him in round 11!!!

I got him in round 16 of an initial dynasty this year. He'll be holding down the fort until rookies like Ted Ginn, Robert Meachem, and Jacoby Jones are ready to take over.Jones might be sooner than I thought.
