Mattel Talking Football

**** Enberg with the commentary. The only one I can remember, 35 or so years later is

"Prevent defense, 3 man rush. Pass up the middle for 10. Uh-oh, penalty!"

I loved that game.

This was the one with the little record disks, right? The offensive guy would put his play choice into the machine and then the defense would rotate the record to pick the defense they would run. Then push play to get the results?My brother and i played that game a lot.

Yep, thats the one... fun times

I would get all pissed off by the gadget plays, game was in hand then boom the gadget play out of nowhere to burn me .

Back in the day as a group of drunken obnoxious punks we were playing talking football on a plane, this was when you could bring your own drink mix in a 2 liter pop bottle .

We would scream out all the plays which included "leaping interception he's going to go all the way TOUCHDOWN". Upon landing a group that had to tolerate us all flight screamed out "touchdown" when we landed, while pointing at all of us. This was one of the first times I realized that just maybe the entire universe did not revolve around me.
