TPG: Mock Draft and Recent News (1 Viewer)

Might just be me or my phone but those links take me to nothing.

Edit - tried again and picked open and new window and stuff was there. Thanks.

Would be helpful to know the starting requirements and scoring.

Sidenote: Everyone keeps saying QB is so ridiculously deep and you should wait, but in some formats VBD is telling me to take 3 in the first round. For example, in a 12-team league that rewards completions + 6 pt passing TDs, the top 3 QBs are scoring 250(!) points above baseline. That's more than AP or Megatron are scoring over a replacement flex player, even in PPR. I'm torn between taking a QB that is less likely to get hurt or stocking up on RBs in case one of them gets hurt. I think I'll have a better season in that league going QB/RB/RB. In less favorably passing leagues I definitely think you can wait, though.

The scoring is ESPN Standard Scoring. The league link has the exact settings, but they are not as favorable to QB's as they can be at places. QB/RB or RB/QB is certainly a possible route though.

All the links should work, must be your phone. Sorry

I stopped after the 2nd round. Doug Martin slipping to #7 boggles my mind, and 3 QBs in the 2nd is way too early.

7 is a pretty small slip. In a dynasty I could understand, but that is pretty reasonable considering its a draft for this year only. To the QB's, each their own. I don't agree, but that's why we had different drafters. A draft isn't won in the first two rounds. In fact, the mid rounds are often the most important.

Quit bumping your thread. You have 15 posts and 6 of them are here trying to pitch your site. Please stop that too. Instead of post links to articles (again just trying to hits on your site) have a link to your scoring system instead of telling people to click links and search around for info that should've been posted. Then, as LususV pointed on, your Mock has 3 QBs in 2nd round in a 4pt/passing TD league (yes I went and found the scoring) which is a joke.

I'm not advertising my league here, I am trying to get the writers exposure. This board specifically discourages advertising leagues here, which is why I am not. Our leagues and site are based off of ESPN, and I am trying to get a larger community with articles that other football fans would be interested in.

As for the mock, there are many different opinions. Seeing as many ranking sites have equal QB's in the top two rounds, some even slated in the first, I don't see the problem there. I know the RB/RB and RB/WR cults are big among competitive fantasy football players, but you should really look at other strategies. I saw a study just today that looked at the first two picks of winning teams from 2012, and many included Brees, some even taking him in the first. There are other ways to win than stocking up on RB's.

Even the mid rounds look pretty bad. Defenses waaaaaay too early, for example.
