Especially if K's are involved.I'd lean Verlander over Bedard. Bedard has a brutal upcoming schedule, and hasn't pitched well away from home all year. Burnett will be on a contender at the deadline, so he should produce a boost in wins.

Tough call as both Verlander and Bedard have struggled at times this year. Bedard may be on a crappy team right now and getting minimal run support but there's been talk of him being dealt so that could change for the second half. He had a stretch of no decisions that easily could have been wins had he been on a contender that could get him a lead to work with. That and I'm not sure how many of Putz's blown saves have been when Bedard was pitching but I'd bet he's lost a W or two there.
