Trade advice re: Howard and Gronk (1 Viewer)

14 team, PPR, shallow bench (4 spots). Sitting at 3-3, middle of standings (7th)

QB: Winston; RB: Michel, James White, Jordan Howard, Kerryon, (Charles, but dropping him to pick up waivers); WR; Keenan, Diggs, Fuller ; TE: Gronk, Engram

Since I don't have one of the elite guys, I'm riding with Michel and White at RB and will just figure out Week 11 when it happens (figure I'll use Kerryon and some other waiver wire fodder at that point–aka any Packers RB). However, I'm also thinking I need top-tier WRs to have that upside of blowing up. Had hoped Fuller would be that, but seems to be phased out, tough schedule upcoming, and possibly hurt.

Anyways proposal is Jordan Howard and Gronk for Jared Cook and Odell Beckham. Gronk hasn't been otherwordly this year, and seems to be trending to block more. Now that Engram is healthy, the gap might be a little smaller on a PPG game basis. My new starting lineup would be Winston; Beckham, Diggs, Allen; Michel, White; Engram.

Thoughts on that trade? I'm leaning towards yes, but also might push back to ask him to include Clement instead of Cook (or even Stafford). Would you do either of the trades?

If you give up Howard you have to get a RB back.  I don't really like the move although I have no issue trading Gronk.  I wouldn't want to double up on the dumpster fire that is Eli in having to rely on OBJ and Engram every week.  I wouldn't go after OBJ.

Don't like OBJ in general or is it more of a product of Eli/Giants offense being so awful? Howard has been so bad and is trending down–just don't know if I'm ever going to get something of value and don't really foresee playing him at this point unless Tarik gets hurt.

He also has Mike Thomas and his RB situation is dire...

Thanks for the input!

I like OBJ the skill set.  I am starting to get worried about his antics.  He looks very close to a full melt down and becoming a raving lunatic.  It looks to me like his frustration is spilling over to him trying to do too much on the field so he really is doing less.

Couple that with the Eli corpse and he is not a buy for me right now.

I agree mostly—he's still got an elite target share, has some tasty matchups coming up, and is putting up FF points.

How would you feel if it was Mike Thomas and Clement for Howard and Gronk?

And again thank you!

I would make that deal to get Thomas and Clement.  I am a believer that Clement will be at least a RB 2 down the stretch.
