Trade - Ajayi for Graham + Smallwood - PPR (1 Viewer)

Made this offer to the Gronkowski owner tonight once I heard Gronk was out.  What do you think?  I've heard several analysts recommending a buy low on Ajayi.

PPR League - I get Jay Ajayi, I give Jimmy Graham and Wendell Smallwood.

I felt I had to do something at TE, because I have Jimmy Graham and Charles Clay - and both are on Bye for Week 6.  We have a short bench - only 5 spots total, and I also have Zeke on Bye for week 6 - so carrying 3 tight ends would be a big problem.  I have no desire to cut either Clay or Graham, and next week everybody will realize my dilemma so they would try to force me to accept a lower price in a trade deal involving either one of them.

I think this is a great move for you.  I have Ajayi and several people have made me some low-ball offers but I think that Ajayi is in for some big games.  His schedule becomes very favorable moving forward and he has looked good when they have given him carries.  You will get stuck with 2 good TE's on your bench and likely have to drop one if you dont make a trade.  Also there is no guarantee that Smallwood's knee alows him to play.  I am trying to shop him right now.  I was going to trade him away to get Clay back but that owner just lost Gronk and started Clay...

Trade was accepted - Gronk owner was panicking I think once he was named Out for Thursday.  I was planning to make the offer if Gronk was out, and as soon as I saw the tweet I lined up the offer and hit Send.  At the time I knew Smallwood was DNP for Wednesday but hadn't seen any practice reports for Thursday - I'm even happier now that I found that out.  Plus no more bye weeks for Ajayi.

Now just need to see Ajayi get out of the mud.

I am shocked the Ajayi owner would pull the trigger.  There are always serviceable TE's on waivers you can pick up in a pinch.  There is no way I would have accepted that deal being the Ajayi owner.

Good for you for taking the opportunity.
