Trade Deadline Approaching...which of these is most likely to occur (1 Viewer)

So the Following Trade Rumors are flying around.

Patriots inquired about Emmanuel Sanders availability. Unlikely since they are AFC Rivals and if the Steelers make it into the playoffs they don't want a former player to send them home. He is only playing on a 1 year contract and the Patriots will go at him hard again in the offseason.

MJD to Dallas Cowboys. Contract Year only responsible for remaining years salary. Could happen

Hakeem Nicks to Colts. Strong possibility with Reggie Wayne Injury or Carolina which is his hometown...

Josh Gordon will he get moved or won't he get moved

Kenny Britt to Detroit or San Francisco

I think Gordon gets moved... If the Titans wanted to get anything for Britt, they went about it all wrong!

I think the Colts stay in house unless they're able to pry Josh Gordon (who is cheap for another 2 years, let's say 1 year with likelihood of new contract thereafter). Huge risk with his off field issues despite immense talent.

JMO An in-season acquisition of Nicks doesn't improve the Colts substantially. Not to mention he's looking for new contract. Not a good recipe IMO. I'd take my chances with 2 of DHB/Hilton/Brazil outside with 1 of Brazil/Whalen/Hilton inside. I actually think Griff Whalen is a bit of a sleeper here given he fits the Wayne slot role, history with Luck and offense.

Most likely = Kenny Britt moved. Really wouldn't suprise if he was waived outright either.

I can see MJD (or McFadden) going to Dallas. They have that division in hand and should be looking at what they need to do to make some noise in the play-offs. Jerry Jones likes to make headlines too, and it's been a while for him.

In hindsight, the Colts must be feeling like they went after the wrong Brown.

Nicks would be at the top of the list if he didn't have stone hands. I was really hoping for a big game from him last night so the Giants could get something in return for him rather than letting him go for free next year.

Nicks to ATL

Run DMC to DAL
Just what Dallas needs, another constantly-injured running back!
Yeah, hard to imagine DMC fits the bill in Dallas, where they are already dealing with an injured starter. While DMC has the Arkansas connection, MJD is a better fit, IMO.

Britt has done exactly squat to make another team anxious to add him, but he should be available for dirt cheap. He won't be going to SF.

It makes sense for the Giants to trade Nicks, but I have my doubts. As a Nicks owner, I am hopeful.

There are a number of teams who should be pursuing Gordon, but it makes sense for Cleveland to hold onto him.

The Trent Richardson deal may have been an anomaly. We don't often see blockbuster deals like that.

Look at the trade deadline deals from the past several years, and they are probably more indicative of what we will see this season, if anything at all:

2012 – Buccaneers trade Aqib Talib to New England.

2011 — Bengals trade Carson Palmer to the Raiders; Broncos trade Brandon Lloyd to the Rams; Eagles trade Ronnie Brown to the Lions.

2010 — Chiefs trade Alex Magee to the Buccaneers; Browns trade Jerome Harrison to Philadelphia for Mike Bell.

2009 — Rams trade Will Witherspoon to the Eagles; Bucs trade Gaines Adams to Chicago.

2008 – Zero deadline trades.

2007 – Chiefs trade Michael Bennett to the Buccaneers.

2006 – Bucs trade Anthony McFarland to the Colts.

While we would all like to see our fantasy stars land in better situations, it is unlikely to happen prior to the trade deadline.

Britt is worthless for a reason. Dude needs to "prove it" before anyone ponies up a pick. Titans stand to do better with a conditional pick from the NFL than a trade.

I can see someone like Andre Roberts changing teams before anyone listed. These trades come out of no where half the time.
